1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Hat and Booties for Baby on: March 25, 2015 08:57:27 AM
Well I've been away from craftster for a while but am slowly getting back into things.

I just finished a hat and booties for my sister's soon-to-be-here baby. I loved the feel and colour of the yarn but thought that something was missing ... then I had the idea to add the ribbon flower and green ribbon as ties for the shoes. I just love them now!

The ribbon is satin 3/8" and I just wrapped and sewed until I had a good rose shape.

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Whimsical Fashion ATCs on: February 18, 2014 10:27:40 AM
I've just had the time and energy to get back into some ATCs - these are all ink and watercolour. They are (really, really) loosely based on historical fashions.

These are lovely! I love how you used the ink splattering.

I just found out about a resource that I don't see on that list: all copyright free images from the archives of the British Library: https://www.flickr.com/photos/britishlibrary

Those yarn bowls and your goldfish bowls are so lovely!

Thanks so much for the link. Cheesy She is an amazing potter. She does such beautiful shapes.

And you are right about her goldfish bowls - they are stunning. But your birch trees are still my favourite!

Wow - those are gorgeous! What perfect birch trees! The technique looks a little bit like using etching paper, yes?
Could you link a project of Cinnamon Teal, please? I'm not familiar with her work.
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: 3 Tiered Display on: January 16, 2014 04:49:06 PM
This is just too cool! I have a junk garden in the backyard (fill trash like old toilets, tires, and broken blenders with dirt and flowers) and something like this would be perfect! It feels like a design to bring things to the next level. Thanks so much for sharing!
