1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Wedding Gift--Embroidered Wall Art on: July 24, 2010 09:25:16 PM
I made this for one of my best friends who just got married. No patterns, I simply used carbon transfer paper after creating my own design. Enjoy!

(Note: The dark spots on the fabric are simply just damp areas from where I washed off the remainder of the carbon. I couldn't wait to take a picture of the finished product since I needed to wrap it right away!)

2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Soft & Cuddly Tag Blanket: Winnie-the-Pooh on: July 24, 2010 09:11:27 PM
I made this sometime last year as a gift for one of my girlfriends who was having her first baby (a little girl.) Tag blankets are SO easy and I love the way they look when they turn out! It was a big hit at the baby shower as well. (I actually ended up being commissioned to make a couple more for my friend for her to give as Christmas gifts for a couple of new babies.)

Enjoy!

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / First Embroidered Project-Christmas Themed Tea Towels on: July 24, 2010 07:06:32 PM
I have been on Craftster forever, but I am just now taking the time to upload some of my projects. Like so many of you, I make all of my gifts. This post contains a set of tea towels that I made for a friend of mine last Christmas. This was my first attempt at embroidery, so be kind.  Smiley I sketched the designs directly on the towel. Enjoy!

4  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Resources for cheap buttons? on: May 18, 2010 01:43:59 PM
I am going to be starting a new project soon, and I need lots more buttons than what I have already collected. Plus, I don't want to entirely wipe out the stock that I have accumulated! I have done some perusing at some wholesale sites online, but I figured you guys would really know where it's at! Besides the obvious eBay, (because I'm doing some looking there too), are there any really great websites out there that can sell me a good amount of buttons for a cheap price? Thanks for your help everyone!
