11  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Martini Tote Bag Revamp on: May 19, 2010 06:32:15 AM

Lucky Doggie!!! That's a great idea to cover up the advertising on the the free tote bags! That never occurred to me! I always just end up donating them to the shopping bag recycle box at our local food co op.

The martini glass is cute and now I bet you'll come up with a million more ideas for those tote bags!

I like that you have the water bottle and bowl for your wee babe! I do the same thing when I take my little Fuzzy Ferret out for her walks! (and don't I get the strange looks!!!)

So cute! Great idea for using up extra stash stuff!!!!

Also, the placement of the shelf with the vase and balls next to the photograph of the wooden bridge with the lush green foliage in the background really ties it all together!!! That corner of your room will be forever fresh, green, and natural!!!   Smiley   Smiley   Smiley
13  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Simple paintings from a non-painter on: May 06, 2010 09:48:34 AM
Oh wow! When I saw the thumbnail I thought "What a sweet quilt!" Then I saw that you painted it! Awesome!

If you sew, or want to try a hand at a simple wall quilt, it would be so cute to make a quilt replica to hang next to your painting!

You inspired me to copy your pattern. I like greens, so I am going to make a little hanging quilt of green blocks inspired by you!

Very very nice, lyddieonwed!!!  Smiley  Smiley  Smiley

PS: I'm not sure but it may be against the Crafster rules to ever start a post about your work with the words "I am not artist!"!!! Naughty girl! One hundred lashes with a wet paintbrush!!! LOL! If you are posting something that you lovingly made here on Craftster, then you are an artist of the highest caliber! XOXOX!!!  Smiley
14  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Steve Buscemi Cross Stitch on: April 18, 2010 07:53:32 PM
I totally love this!!!! Steve Buscemi!!! I thought I was the only one in love with him! But even I couldn't do something this incredible! You have some amazing patience and talent!!!

I haven't been at this site for a while, then I come back to this!!! What a pleasant surprise for me to come "home" to! Brilliant! Thank you, Tamakins!

Ghost World is my favorite Steve Buscemi movie!

16  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Empanadas! with pic ffffffff-at tutorial! on: March 22, 2010 07:08:12 PM
Belladune, Empanadas are a lot of work. So you did a great job! And I like how you arranged them like a flower and used the leftover dough!!!

Me gusta las empanadas! But I like mine vegertarian.

Mi suegro (father in law) makes empanadas Ecuadorian style- with warm vegetable oil, egg, & water in the dough. Checkout his filling- red onions and farmer cheese. After frying, las empanadas calientes are rolled in sugar. Believe it or not the combo onion/cheese with sugar on the outside is amazing!

Buen provecho!

17  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Small Tote/Purse with change purse... Pics on: March 20, 2010 08:00:52 AM
Oh these bags and purses are sooo pretty!!! I love the bird motif and it is just in time for spring!!! (Today is the first day of spring and the birds outside my window are chirping happily. I guess they saw the calendar- or else they are simply enjoying the pile of muffin crumbs I put on the ground! LOL!)

I don't think I have ever seen a bag with pleats before! That's a cool touch- like a little springtime skirt! Awesome!

Oh this is adorable!!! I just want to hug her!

I really admire you crochet and knitting people for having the patience to make things like this. (I'm still working on the same knitted scarf since 1974 and have made no headway yet!!! It also could be a macrame project I started, I can't remember anymore!!!).

I love that she's trapped inside a snowball. That's what I would look like it I tried to ski.

Great job!  Smiley   Smiley   Smiley
