Thanks for the tutorial! Your bag looks great - I love the contrast of the plain bag against the printed fabric handle!

The fabric tie and metal ring combo means the strap is super easy to adjust!  Cheesy

Thanks  Smiley this was my first try at a messenger bag and I'm really happy with how it turned out! I recommend the tutorial I used - It's really easy to follow!

Hiya,
I've been very bust recently having been inspired by several recent threads! This is my most recent creation, I used heart of Mary's tutorial (http://pinoyinoz.blogspot.com/2008/07/tutorial-messenger-bag-with-zip-top.html) for most of the bag, I did not include a back pocket however and I had no magnetic snaps so had to use velcro instead! Sewing through so many layers broke a needle or two on my machine but the end result was worth it! The main fabric is a cream linen, and I used Amy Butler's Belle 'Corriander' fabric for the flap. It's lined in a spotty brown cotton. C & C appreciated xxx

Thanks for all the nice comments  Smiley The fabric is from Ikea, in the CECILIA range (only 1.99 a metre!), and the other green is from my stash. I lined it with a white cotton with a floral pattern, I'm really pleased with how it turned out so I'll be making a Buttercup for me to keep soon!
