1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Lots of Upholstery Fabric Swatches...what to make?? on: May 17, 2011 03:26:04 PM
This idea is a bit out there I admit, But why not make a pair of very patchwork pants? I had a friend in highschool who did that for a costume for a play. Maybe you could go as a scarecrow for Halloween! Cheesy

Any guitar players with upcoming birthdays in the family? Why not package up some of those gift cards along with one of these?

My younger brother got one of these for chritmas, and he's made tons of picks since! (Which is good because he's always losing his picks.Tongue)

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My New Puppet, JJ! on: May 15, 2009 09:08:24 PM
I just finished making a puppet. I've named him JJ, becasue his eyes are mad from Jones Soda bottle caps. I've never really made a puppet before, but I think he came out pretty good. Cheesy

6  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: OMG SURFBOARD!!!! on: May 10, 2009 07:59:25 PM
I remember seeing a show on HGTV, where they used a surf broad as part of a bar. I think there's was temporary, but there's nothing to say yours has to be!

Or you could just add some wheels and have a really big skateboard!:P
7  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Kitty Litter Jugs?? on: May 10, 2009 07:15:29 PM
How about a making a set of cubbies? Just chop the tops off (maybe the handles too) stack them on top of eachother, and screw, nail or glue then together so they'll stay. It'd be perfect for shoes!

Here's a similar idea using water jugs:

Tire swings are always fun! I know it's an old idea, but I love the classics.
9  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Lots and Lots of Area Tickets on: May 10, 2009 03:56:19 PM
I work for a inventory company, and every day I'm handed a pack of "Area Tickets" in case I find an area without one. What's an area ticket? Well here's a picture:
http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/4760/051009184100a.jpg

I never need more than a couple of tickets a day, and unfortunately I can't reuse a pack the next day. So, at the end of the week I end up with 3-5 of these packs, some of them completely unused.

I hate to just toss them. I've been using them for note pads (the back are blank), and saving some for upcoming paper mache projects or origami. But now I'm running out of ideas, and the packs keep coming!

Any ideas crafters?

How about a funky cake decoration...

Or attach the faces to a block (cut to size) you've got a kids' play phone...

Or (expanding out liza.lu's idea) make little toy boats. You's just need to fill the gaps with something.
