1  Re: Sailor Moon Warm-Up Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Tiph on: May 08, 2010 07:22:48 PM
Ruby was my partner and we decided to craft for our kids for this swap and Ms. Ruby is awesome!  She spoke right to my daughters heart with everything that she sent!

A coloring book that has different pictures of the sailor scouts and goodies like book marks and post cards!

Inside the book!  So cute!  I might steal a page to color!  (sorry with the over use of the !!!)

Sailor Moon costume items!  Ruby sent 2 very pretty bows with little brooches and a sailor collar!  I have more pictures of both of both bows in action.  My camera battery is dead atm but I will post another picture soon!

Moon tiaras!  She has been wearing one for the past couple of days now!

A robot t-shirt because some days it's cooler to be a robot!  <3
She also sent the most amazing fruit gummy candy.  Both Ripley and my 1 year old were holding their little hands out for "just one more!"
Thank you so much Ruby, you rock!  I'm sending so many happy thoughts that your package is just delayed!

We received an amazing package today from Mandyp!  Pictures coming soon!

Sorry it took so long, my camera cord tried to disappear on me.

Mandyp really spoiled the girls!

Ripley has been carrying this book around since we opened the box!
Such cute stories!

An activity book with color pages and learning activities, crayons and cute little book marks!

Little tote bag with Cat in the Hat and some yummy snacks!

Play-Doh!  Mandyp spoke right to Ripley's heart!

and last and certainly most beautiful a purple and butterflies fleece tie blanket for family reading time!

This is Ripley's new favorite!

There was also a little set of Thing 1 and Thing 2 dolls, but they disappeared before I could get a picture of them!

Thanks Mandyp!  You are amazing!

Yay!  I'm glad everything made it safe!  I really do hope you ladies loved everything!  Your daughter is a cutie Mandyp!

The mug was in "Oliva's fashion" (black, red, white, stripes and polka dots) and the name on it was actually the little girls name. There were journals (one for mom and one for the little lady), candies, bracelets x2, wire wrap book marks.   There were a couple things with names and letters because when we read, Ripley (my little girl) loves to find "her letters" and also find letters that are included in the rest of the families names.

6  Garters for a friend... in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Tiph on: March 18, 2010 10:40:27 AM
A friend of mine asked me if I could make her a set of garters (one to toss one to keep) for her wedding.  We were going for simple, less is more. The ribbon had so much to it, I was afraid anything more and it would have looked crazy! I had a lot of fun with this project as this was my first time doing garters.  Thanks for looking.  C&C always welcome! <3

7  Sailor Moon Party/Super Hero Party in Party Planning by Tiph on: February 22, 2010 09:20:31 PM

Hello Ladies and Gents-

I'm looking for some ideas to create a Sailor Moon party for our little girl's 4th birthday.  She watched a couple of episodes on you tube and was instantly hooked!  Thank goodness I saved all my Sailor Moon goodies from back in the day...including a Sailor Moon doll.

So, I'm thinking of making her a little sailor scout costume.  We are just getting into the episodes where Rini pops in...so a favorite is still being determined.  Ideas for foods, decor, games... etc would all be very helpful.  There will most likely be more little boys there than girls so ideas for party favors and things of that nature would be awesome!

What about doing a favorite super hero party?  Does that sound like too much for little kids?  Everyone can come dressed as their favorite hero?  Parents...I need some input!  I'm thinking put last Halloweens costumes to good use!

Ideas thus far:

Kids come dressed as favorite hero
Theme cake (favorite sailor scout face shaped with cupcakes)
Some sort or sandwiches made with croissants (to look like crescent moons)

8  L4D Anyone? in Stenciling: Completed Projects by Tiph on: August 18, 2009 05:16:20 PM
This is a shirt that I stenciled for my dads birthday.  We also gave him the Zombie survival guide and he loved it! Yep, being a nerd is a family thing for us.  Grin I used my handy, dandy freezer paper for the lettering and the silhouettes while I free handed the fog at their feet.  I'd love to know what everyone thinks!

I received the following in my package from Teffy!

A vampire fang needle book.  I've wanted a needle book for so long, and I think Teffy might be telepathic.

A really pretty tote bag.  This picture does not do the fabric justice.  It's has a very vintage feel.  (Vintage and I are best friends)

A scarflette; complete with ties, so I can hide my bitten neck.

My blood drop earrings.

A Lafayette inspired ruffle necklack.  It even has a little gold showing through which makes me think of when Jason says to Lafayette "You're wearing gold pants..."

Thanks Teffy!  I love my loots!

10  Summer Time Dresses *New and Improved with Action Shots* in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Tiph on: May 05, 2009 10:31:19 AM
Hey All!

I've been a lurker for quite some time and decided that since I got my sewing bug back that maybe I should post something to show for it.   Cheesy  I used New Look pattern 6578.  I made these for my 3 month old who is so tall she looks like a nine month old!  Come to find out, my 3 year old could almost wear these as shirts, so I'm going to make her some too, but sizing the pattern up.

Thanks for looking!
Comment and criticism always welcome.

Tiph

ETA: So my oldest decided that the first polka dot dress (shirt for her) was the one she wanted.  So it's hers now, hehe.

We had fun with our little fashion show.  We have decided that it's something we should do more often.   Wink
