Using ghile's new pattern (the punkin pattern) I made the doormouse (from Alice in Wonderland - the new movie with Johnny Depp) minus the toothpick sword and monster eyeball. The new owner was really happy with her present.

Just gotta say, love the punkin pattern. So quick and easy to use.

He has his spoon ready for the mad hatters tea party (I left off the toothpick sword as I thought that was a bit dangerous for the child getting it)

Here is my latest girl. There are a few small problems with her but she still looks good and is my 'special' doll. She is also a mini poppet (half sized)

I made this dragon as a gift for my daughter. Using the knowledge I had from making poppets.

I just wanted to share, even though it isn't technically a poppet, but I used what I learnt through poppeting.

Using my knowledge of poppets, I made this dragon along the same lines as I would a poppet. It is about 50cm long (almost 2').


A head shot. After I completed it, my eldest decorated it with black sequins to give the illusion of scales


The wings are moveable, attached the same way you would legs and arms, but their anchor is the bead on the dragon's chest.

Halt is his name and he is made as a companion to the first doll I made, Heather.
He is my first boy poppet.

My next three are done! A piece of advice...do one at a time! and don't leave it all till it is almost too late!
