Seraphina be careful about stamping your own!!! I just recently tried stamping on some SPOONS and unless it is a thin blank or soft metal I found myself with not only a sore arm but I had to start all over with something softer....I tried the spoon thing lol with regular spoons...now I know why you need sterling coated ones!!!!!Those ones came out wonderfully...
As for having your partners pick from what you make it sounds easy until everyone wants the same one....I am all about the surprise so no one feels slighted or left out...but thats just my opinion!
Oh my gosh guys. It all started with that darn Tim Holtz and now look at me. I went to Michaels, they had the TH supplies in the scrapbook section like you suggested. I didn't see the Philosophy Tags or whatever I was looking for but they had the Muse Tokens so I picked those up...but I was kind of disappointed (I REALLY liked the look of the tags).
I go to work, get home, do some searches on etsy and see a bunch of stamping blanks and letter stamps...and it hits me like a lightning bolt from the sky, why don't I make my own?! I don't know why it took me so long to realize that all you need is the stamps and a hammer. For some reason I figured it would be super expensive but you can get a basic kit online for about $15-20. After paying $6 for something I didn't really like, I can justify the expense. It's an investment...right
Oh, and I like surprises. I'm going to let everyone go with their flow and not have a lot of input. I think that would add a lot to the eclectic steampunkery style lol.
One more thing, and then I'll shut up. How do people feel about found objects, because I see a lot of rusted washers and nuts on the street and thought about maybe incorporating them into the charms.
