1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / *UPDATED!!* Mismatched conspiracy of a folded photo album on: September 25, 2012 04:53:26 AM
Hey guys!!  Sorry I was busy yesterday and didnt get the chance to write anything in here, just uploaded the photos and off to next thing to do...

I was bored and watched some vids from youtube about folded scrapbooking photo album with my roomate.  So, we planned to do some arts and crafts later that evening..

So I shall say, BAAAMMM!!! here's my own folded photo album but I'm not gonna put any photos in it..Yepp imma lazy kid..

In the photo below, I have to colour my stamp with marker to make the gel more stiff and easier for the liquid base ink to stick to it because before this i had problems with the stamp where the ink doesnt fully spread out on it and making the design freaking ugly and like WTF???!!!

yep an ordinary butterfly knife turned into arts and craft knife..

And yeah! thanks for viewing.. Grin Grin Grin

Updated!!!!

these photos are in every pages of my other folded album... Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Thanks!!!!!!

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / updated Lolipop bouquet TUTORIAL *weddings, door gifts, goodies etc.* on: January 25, 2012 04:26:17 AM

I'm from the Malay culture and for weddings, we usually give the ''bunga telur'' as doorgifts to our friends and relatives. The picture below shows an example of it. Grin

We call it ''bunga telur'' because our ancestors hang the egg (telur) on each flower (bunga) that they make by themselves. Naah...don't worry, we use boiled eggs instead of the raw ones..

Ok back to current story.  My lecturer wanted us to give out goodies during our marketing presentation day.  I was thinking that we should do the ''bunga telur'' but instead of using the flowers and eggs (it'll get rot), why don't just arrange some lolipops and make a lovely yummy bouquet.  So, I asked my friends to get all those stuff from the craft store and here's the tutorial

*drumrolls*

What you need:

1) lots and lots of lolipops

p/s: I just realise that htey have the mini ones..yay!!!  Grin Grin

2) 30 swg wires

3) 16 swg wires (for the hard stand)

4) some tapes (no pics here but you'll find it if you scroll down)

Step by step by step..

1) Firstly, gather 3 or more lolipops together. more pops, the better it will be.

2) Then, tie them up together by using around 6-8 cm of the 30 swg wire

Tadaaaaaaaa!!!!!  Shocked Shocked

ok next!!

3) Bend the 16 swg (30cm) wire in half

4) and twist it until 3/4 of the bent wire.  Be careful of the pointy ends (ask mummy for help, ok kids!)

5) then, slip in the twisted wire in between the tied up pops bouquet (as shown in the red circle)

6) Here comes the tape.  Wrap around the stems tightly (really, really tight) until the end.

7) and kaboom!!! there's your lolipop bouquet

Above shot

Your very own chupa chups pop bouquet

p/s: I'll update soon with the real finish look of the bouquet.

You can also add some veils or other ribbons and stuff with desire..

If my tutorial is unclear, you guys can leave a comment/questions here and also, I would like to see your very own lolipop bouquet

with love,

~Amy~

*updated*

Ok here comes the photos of my completed project.

sorry for the blurry effect  Sad

I just keep it simple and not too elaborate

close up bow (yeah, I also did the bow by myself..found some great tutorials at youtube)

and this is our team's label tag..I found some cool and funky frames design on google and decided to pick out this one.

It was suppose to be like this in black and white, but my sister's printer gone a lil bit crazy so it turned out to be brownish..but brown looks more chic (in this case  Wink )

we did the silkygirl cosmetics company and put the whole team's name on the tag. (if you're wondering there's no Amy there, it's because my mates call me ''WHY'' instead of Amy..teehee)

and that's all..YAY!!!!!!

thanx for viewing..feel free to comment here..and I'd like to see yours too!!

For me, I just mix n match the design since I had the eternal boredom moment..hahah..ok enough with the blab.

here comes the pictures.

i also did the make-up by myself.

for my eyes, I used darkbrown liner, shimmer purple and pink shadow, and highlight with yellow shimmer shadow.

for the lips, I used somehow rosey brownish lipstick and darkened it with anna sui's black lipstick.

hope you guys like it Grin Grin Grin

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Granma's old vintage bag strap surgery on: October 21, 2011 03:19:30 AM
It's been a while since my last post..Well today I was having an alone-treasure hunt moment at my room to find old book for my blogshop.  As I was searching for them, suddenly I saw this old but awesome vintage bag.  I took the bag and asked granma to give it to me (hehehe).  She was like ''what's that???!! owh okay just take it Cheesy''

I don't really know where she bought it.  But  I think she got it somewhere from Saudi Arabia a freaking looong time a go.

ok here's the bag

and I has the ugliest strap ever.  I hate it when the PU leather fell off from the strap and made like someone cracked them..

Ugly strap:

Then I got this ideas to do a very simple strap surgery.  Not so awesome but now I can use the bag.

1) I glued (using SUPER GLUE) the black vintage lace on the strap

2) Then I sewed the excess lace at the back (can u see those fine lines?)

3) Aaaand KaBAAAM! my new lovely strap  Grin

4) Also i've added metal beads as a result of major boredom.

Hope you like it  Grin Grin Grin

i glued the metal snaps to secure the present later when i tie it to the wire..

the bronze wire is for the present..scroll down for the example 'wink'

the broze wire that i attached is to tie the charm bracelet that i bought for my friend, Khad..it is easier to tie up rather than to wrap the present..  Wink
