Hello beautiful artist friends of mine! I have missed all of you! Been doing a lot out here in the world and have dropped by to see how all of you have been doing. AMAZING work has been going on! Here is my last oil painting that I have done. I have now just begun work on a 40x60 project not sure where it is taking me ;-> but any how, here is the last untitled work. Enjoy!
Well, here is the latest finished painting. This one took me through a rough spot. I was actually working on this one (painting the little cartwheeling person in the corner) when some very awful news was dropped on me. It went through some amazing changes before I finally finished it last night. Anyhow, I thought I would share it with you.
I thought I would post a coup;e more from my cell phone project here. It has been a fun project. I really do enjoy the limited technology and really having to go back and depend on natural lighting and the luck of the moment. This has been a great experience for me and I recommend it highly. Charlie will always listen
Here are a few more cell phone photos that I have added to my collection. Has anyone else been doing this? It has been a bit challenging since I really am limited. Inside a little house Maiden Rock Heart and shells for Neil Ice is going out on Lake Pepin
I have been on a roll. I just finished this painting. I was listening to Patti Smith while I did this one. Wish I could have gotten a better photo. Perhaps if I took it outside! I think I will try that tomorrow. I have already started a new painting.
Since I have no REAL camera, just my cell phone camera and have been missing my 'real' camera for a few years, I have decided to start a new project. It comes from an old idea that I remember from an old magazine where a man found an old 110 camera with no flash and just went to town. He got some great images! Sooo, I have been getting some pretty good looking images with my old cell phone camera. The phone is 3 years old, no flash. The only re-touching I allow myself to do is brighten, crop (zoom) and allow black and white. That is it. So, here are a few. I have posted a couple before from a frosty day in February and had a great response. Let me know what you think of these, or just enjoy. Thanks a ton just for being here. So, I have been moving on in life. Usually during the winter I tend to think to much and start to get all...icky...Anyhow, I found some old journals and letters to myself and others that I wrote during a nasty spell in my life. Reading them just made me feel terrible, so I tore them into strips. Then with some of the strips I made a little person with glue and painted it with watercolors. Then I painted some of the other strips with watercolors and tore them up some more. I got out a canvas, my acrylics and 'went to town'. This is the end result. As I was doing this, The song, 'even the losers' by Tom Petty, was stuck in my head. I loved that song SO MUCH when I was 13. So I named it, 'It's Just The Normal Noises In Here!' phone camera, sorry Looks like such a mess, but then, people used to call me Headmess! I have GOT to get a better camera!
