1  COOKING / Dessert / Re: CAKE BALLS on: December 22, 2010 12:03:45 AM
I love to do this with red velvet cake, devils food, devils food with cayenne pepper...the ideas are limitless! I use the melty discs. I have been thinking about trying lemon cake...

I am thinking of trying to make peanut butter crispy balls in addition to my cake balls and oreo balls this year. Here is the recipe that I will try.
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. smooth peanut butter
1 pkg. miniature marshmallows
6 c. Kellogg's Rice Krispies
Melt butter marshmallows and peanut butte in microwave safe bowl. I am not sure how long this will take you as all microwaves are different. Stir until completely melted. Add Rice Krispies; stir until well coated. Instead of putting this mixture into a pan, I plan to let it cool just a bit so I can handle it without scalding my hands and then roll into super ball sized balls or a bit larger and then dip in chocolate. I always use the melty chocolate that you can get at Michaels. I will be testing this tomorrow so I will post how it went.
