1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / One "SWEET" Purse...and more candy corn excitement on: October 06, 2008 02:11:09 PM
I made this for a contest....and I fell in love with it, and I don't even like candy corn. Only problem, DD wants one now and this one took me about four hours to make. I'll just skimp and use felt for hers...

---side view---

I made a few more things also...candy corn related of course...

DD's candy tote (the black is felt)

Candy Corn ear rings (these are just real candy..my scupley hardened in the drawer)

candy corn holder (paper cone...that doubles as a party hat!)

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / PacMan Purse on: February 14, 2008 06:45:55 PM
I was inspired to make this baby for a past challenge.  I just never got around to it until now.  I hate to do circles, but oh well...It turned out great.

It took me awhile to figure out how I was going to do the zipper.

The reason I didn't get around to it in the challenge was...it was supposed to look just like the item.  I couldn't figure out how to cut out his mouth and make it work.  Oh well....what do you guys think.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Little girls $2 evening gown on: February 15, 2007 08:31:46 AM

I had bought a yard of gorgeous fabric at Wal-Mart for a whopping $2.00. I know what you are thinking, "man, that is EXPENSIVE". I felt the need to splurge for it has little dots of silver glitter all over it. I only used 1/2 the fabric. I gave the rest to someone I know.

At first, I thought the fabric wanted to be a baby doll shirt for my little DD. I think those things are so cute. She however, wanted a fancy dress. She usually gets what she wants. I usually get a store-bought pattern and change it around. This one is all moi. I did the design and the sewing. Abigail did the bedazzling on the front, It's supposed to be a heart. It was our first time using that weird contraption. Won't be the last because she really enjoyed it.

I purchased some cool trims, a silver rope for the pulls in the back, I still need to trim them up, and some funky shiny lacey looking stuff for the strap. I added on pearl snap buttons to pull it all together.

The whole process only took one hour.  Can't beat that one.
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Q-Bert Earrings on: January 25, 2006 07:45:56 PM
Here is my latest creation.  I am proud of myself on this one.

They are made out of polymer clay.

Aren't they cute?  WOW.  The pics look wonky on here.  Not sure what happened.  Oh well.

I had made some more different earrings.
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Sha Sha Crocheted Bag on: January 03, 2006 05:14:29 PM
Okay.  I challenged myself to make a crocheted sha sha purse.  I finally finished it.  I am pleased by the way it turned out.  I was a little iffy on how to fasten it, until I seen a tutorial for the rose.  I sewed the button onto the purse front and use the inside of the rose for the button hole.

Now for pics....

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My Guava green purse on: January 03, 2006 05:39:39 AM
This is the first crocheted purse I have completed.  I love it to death.  It turned out just like I had hoped, since I had to freehand it.  I looked everywhere for a pattern for the look I wanted, didn't find any near it.

On the inside I put two pockets.  One is crochet and the other is fabric.  I took a pic, but it was more red than the hot pink inside.  I just love the outside.  It reminds me of a guava fruit.

Hope you like.

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Furry Cigarette Case on: December 18, 2005 02:07:49 PM
I had the bright idea of making a cigarette case for an aunt for Christmas.  As I didn't have a pattern, this proved to be a little bit of a challenge.  But, it all turned out okay.

It is big enough to hold a lighter and cigarettes.
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Sunbonnet Sue Doorstop on: December 18, 2005 10:02:31 AM
Okay.  I am so proud of myself.  I finally figured out what to make my mil for Christmas.  Last minute.  I got the pattern off of www.freepatterns.com.

She has a 2-liter bottle of sand up her skirt.  I love her so much.  I am going to have to make a few more for around my house.

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Perfect Thread Catcher on: December 16, 2005 09:10:12 AM
This thread catcher is perfect due to the perfect fabric for the job.  I have had this fabric in my stash for over a year.  I guess it was waiting for me to make this.

The pin holder on the top is removable.  I also inserted a cut off 2-liter bottle bottom so I can just dump out the snippets.  A tile weighs down the whole thing.

Thanks for looking.

10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / I must keep this bag on: December 10, 2005 11:23:57 PM
I am so in love with this bag, I'm not sure if I can give it away.  I had intended to give it to my sil, but it is sooo soft.

I just love furry fabric.  This is the first time I have ever worked with it though.  Even my dd wants one.

I guess I can always make another one.

Oh well, thanks for looking.
