Those are so neat.

I love the "chipper" pull.  Great job.

Thanks for the comments.

I'm not sure what type of fabric it is.  All I do know is that it is stretchy.  This is one of my very few times working with stretch.

I had bought a yard of gorgeous fabric at Wal-Mart for a whopping $2.00. I know what you are thinking, "man, that is EXPENSIVE". I felt the need to splurge for it has little dots of silver glitter all over it. I only used 1/2 the fabric. I gave the rest to someone I know.

At first, I thought the fabric wanted to be a baby doll shirt for my little DD. I think those things are so cute. She however, wanted a fancy dress. She usually gets what she wants. I usually get a store-bought pattern and change it around. This one is all moi. I did the design and the sewing. Abigail did the bedazzling on the front, It's supposed to be a heart. It was our first time using that weird contraption. Won't be the last because she really enjoyed it.

I purchased some cool trims, a silver rope for the pulls in the back, I still need to trim them up, and some funky shiny lacey looking stuff for the strap. I added on pearl snap buttons to pull it all together.

The whole process only took one hour.  Can't beat that one.

Just heard we got our last shipment of fabric.  I'm on the lookout for some discounts now.

The ladies at my wm said they  hadn't heard a date on when to reduce the prices, yet.  They are still hoping that the main people change their minds.  These ladies don't want to drive a long time to get fabric either.

Lovely.  You have way more patience than I.

What was your seam allowance on such small squares?

I hope she enjoys all of your hard work.

It makes me want to open a fabric store in my area.

My  DH suggested that one to me.  I am seriously thinking about it.  All the ladies I have talked to at WM don't want to drive into the big city of Knoxville, even the ladies who work at walmart.  It would have to be a discounted fabric store though, I wouldn't pay that much for fabric and I wouldn't expect anyone else to either.

First Layaway , Now Fabrics/Crafts and next is Firearms sales. All gone by summer ( Layaway is already gone) I hate Wal-mart.

Firearms are next?  Is this true?  My DH won't like that one.  We do have other stores that sale guns, etc.., but he likes the prices at WM.

Our WM craft section always has the same set of nice ladies working.  I rarely have to ring the bell for the cutter.  I do however have to wait in a line to be cut.
I had received an email alerting to this matter.  I called 1-800-WALMART to confirm and the lady assured me that the fabric will still be there.  It will only be reduced in size, to make more room for the crafts section. (Idiot me...I thought that they were the same section).
I stopped by wal-mart yesterday, specifically to ask one of the fabric ladies.  She told me the bad news.  They are removing all the fabric, beads, paint, yarn, etc. to make room for ........party supplies, piniatas, plates, and cups.  Yes!  My heart sank.  I will now only be able to buy fabric online.  Thank God for my huge stash.  Cry

Have you heard about walmart removing or downsizing their fabric departments to precut fabric?

This sucks for me.  This is the only place around here to buy fabric.
