11  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / PacMan Purse on: February 14, 2008 06:45:55 PM
I was inspired to make this baby for a past challenge.  I just never got around to it until now.  I hate to do circles, but oh well...It turned out great.

It took me awhile to figure out how I was going to do the zipper.

The reason I didn't get around to it in the challenge was...it was supposed to look just like the item.  I couldn't figure out how to cut out his mouth and make it work.  Oh well....what do you guys think.

I was thinking the same thing.  LOL

Great job!  I need to make one for my DD's dollie, just with a bigger bottom.

That's beautiful.  I adore the fabric.  My MIL gave me tons of her mom's old fabric.  I still don't know what to do with it.  Except, I made her a pillow out of the small scraps.

Great job for your first time in awhile.  I guess sewing is just like riding a bike.

That's too cute!  I love the color and the fabric choose.  Makes it look like something from the late 70's.

Good job.

16  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Ideas for "Assembly Line" Gifts?? on: September 28, 2007 06:18:42 PM
I'm sure you may have already thought of this, but what about jars filled with hard rock candy?  Our kids love rock candy at Christmas.  Also, we make what are called "Dipped Ritz".  You take Ritz crackers and put peanut butter between them, then dip in melted chocolate or almond bark.  They are soooo good.  You could make up tins of them.  They are cheap and easy to make.

That's so strange.  I had never heard of anyone makng "dipped ritz".  Except, I made them about a month ago.  You're right.  The kids LOVED them.  They were gone in about three hours.
17  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Is Walmart getting rid of fabric?? on: September 21, 2007 06:31:15 PM
Way back when, ours said it was to go out in spring.  Well, I believe that season has come and gone.  We are still getting in new fabric and supplies everyday.  I'm glad too.

Most of my stuff is for non-smoking craftiness.  I make most of my stuff for my kids.

I wouldn't know how to quit smoking.  Luckily, I never started.   Any body else have any ideas...
