My husband is deployed and will be coming home shortly. I decided what i wanted my daughter to wear and made it yesterday. I love it!

My DD didnt end up wearing this dress cause it was pretty chilly and was very late at night but i wiped up this shirt that day and she wore it.

and then our first family photo.

I am so very in love with this!!!!!!!

I have a closet full of BDU's from before my husband wen't to Iraq, DCU's from when he arrived in Iraq and then the ACU's they issued to him after being in Iraq for a couple of months and than the remainder of his 14 months!  I never thought to used them in this way!!!!!!

This is perfect!

Thank you! My husband is deployed now and he said he has over 20 pairs of ACUS, im like I really dont think you need that many! But he said most of them he has not wore so we wont have to buy any for a while. Which is good cause they are expensive and the clothing allowance never covers enough to buy 1 pair.

So I re-sized the AB Modern diaper Bag i took 1inch off each side. Made a MAJOR differance. So here is the diaper bag minus the patches and my husbands rank.

Forget diaper bag, you could carry your baby in that Cheesy ! I do love huge bags myself, though, and that one turned out really nice!

I so thought about that. I though as a joke to take a picture with her in there bu then though i would catch alot of crap for it so i didnt. but she could fit in it!

Are you by chance in East TN?  Smiley

I love that you winged it. I seem to be doing a lot of that lately. I love the pink lining, but have to ask, why TWO cell phone pockets? Grin

Nope Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Soon Ft Sill, OK! Because I keep my cell in one pocket and my keys in the other one! I am a picture person so if it dont have pics I do what I want LOL. I just used the pattern!

So i knew how huge this bag was but i think i cut the pattern to big and made it a bigger bag! So its now a weekend bag and sometime later this week I am going to make a smaller version of exactly this for my diaper bag! and i didnt really follow the instructions. I just winged it LOL. I also did a different closure. I also mad 2 cell phone poctes on the outside and added elastic to the bottle pockets.

dont mind me. This was me 8 hours after the start of this bag i did have about an hour and a half break to feed my daughter and my self and then also have a few tornado warnings that i went and hid in my closet for! So needless to say I was TRIED!
