I saw this idea somewhere - "Elf on The Shelf" is a tradition where around Christmas time this elf makes an appearance every day somewhere around the house. He was sent by Santa to keep on eye on the children and report back who was "naughty" and who was "nice".
I've been searching for an elf stuffie to purchase, and have come to realize that Santa elves' kinda creep me out. So I decided to make my own version!
It started with a test, just made out of an old white t-shirt. He's been nicknamed "ghost", and because it was only basted, my kids have already torn out his stuffing.
He was a little too big, his arms and legs too long and too skinny. So here was my second attempt, using the intended fabric:
His arms were still a smidge to long for my liking, and I thought his body could still be a bit smaller. So, finally, without further ado, I would like to introduce Mr.Perfect Elf (until he is named by my kids )
I like him, I think he's cute. He'll be making an appearance every Christmas from now on!
