1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / The Crystal Skull Necklace on: May 19, 2009 06:34:32 PM
You will notice there are no crystal skulls on this necklace, just a hematite donut. I named it after the movie I was watching while I made it. I find this is a fun and easy way to give my projects interesting names without having to put too much thought into it. Plus, it is especially hard to name black necklaces since I've made a lot. This is made with black ribbon, silver chain, and hematite-coloured seed beads.  My friend gave me the donut and asked me to do something with it - it was originally just on plain black silk cord. She says she "loves" it now! Smiley

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Black Elegance Necklace and Earrings Set on: April 28, 2009 01:41:11 PM
Black and silver seed bead spiral necklace with naturally striped pendant. It looks kind of like picture agate, but I can't be sure - I found it in a random bin Smiley I love this simple spiral beadweave. Simple earrings in matching colours complete the set but each can be worn separately of course! This was made for a friend for Xmas 2008. Comments and feedback welcome!

3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Indroducing myself *um, hi!* on: April 28, 2009 12:48:12 AM
Hi, I've fallen in love with craftster and plan to spend lots of time here so I'm going to introduce myself Smiley  I love to make stuff.  I love to learn new techniques, new crafts, and work with all kinds of materials.  I'm a long-time knitter and crocheter, just started making jewelry - stringing, beadweaving, everything in between. I'm looking forward to expanding my jewelry-making techniques as well as adding mixed-media to my projects. I also want to learn to sew, use clay (PMC, Polymer), torch, etc. and mashing everything together to create really cool, unique stuff.  I have chronic pain and fatigue, which gets in the way of my craft goals, but also gives me lots of time to browse (I can't work) and get inspired.  I love to genuinely compliment and encourage others, so you'll probably see me ooohing and aaaaahing on the completed projects board a lot!  And using the This Rocks feature constantly.  I love meeting crafters, so please feel free to contact/befriend me Smiley  I've posted a completed project in the jewelry board (beading) and would love feedback.

Cheers & Namaste
Perpetualspiral (Michelle)

PS I'm from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada Smiley
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Wire Bead Crochet Cuff on: April 28, 2009 12:19:14 AM
I'm new here, but have been crafting for years.  This is my latest completed project! My first real attempt at bead crochet, and wire crochet. It was a present for my aunt, given on April 25th, and she says she loves it. I had to send it off in a rush, so I didn't get a chance to get proper photos. Feedback very welcome Smiley
