1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / The Grinch felt ornament on: December 17, 2013 07:22:52 AM
I am so in love with this!

My husband has dubbed himself the Grinch and as I was thinking of what I should get him for Christmas this popped into my head, not as a gift but as a gift tag! My inspiration came from two different Pinterest posts, one-a felt ornament, the other a painted globe ornament.

Very quick to make, done in under 3 hours and filled with two cotton balls pulled apart.

The pictures don't do it justice...

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Felt owl planner/agenda cover on: December 17, 2013 07:00:32 AM
I created a personalized cover for my generic planner when I realized that I was too cheap to pay $35+ for a planner I was drooling over online...works for me, I'm in love with it!

The owl is a replica of one that I found on Pinterest, my version doesn't do it justice but with practice they will get better.

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Denim sweater handbag on: September 23, 2010 08:34:27 AM
Recycling my daughter's old clothes while learning how to sew. I'm still trying to figure out some kind of closure and also I think it needs something on the outside to spruce it up. Any ideas?

Thanks for taking a peek!!!!
4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Wicked Little Angel on: July 30, 2009 04:53:01 PM
I absolutely thrilled to have accomplished this doll- she came out much better than I had hoped for! I saw a doll online with a pattern but I really suck at following patterns to the letter (its much easier following diagrams for crochet patterns that come from other countries-takes the guess work out of the task), anywho... like I said I really can't follow a pattern so this doll is made up of part pattern, part winging it Grin

Let me know what you think!

My daughter designed the eyes and I embroidered it onto felt with tear away stabilizer:

This is the doll in the making-head was held on by safety pins and I hadn't made her dress yet Tongue  p.s.:don't mind the date on the photo-camera gaffe Roll Eyes
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Easter Eggs on: June 27, 2009 09:14:20 PM
I know that Easter has come and gone a long time ago but I wanted to post my eggs before someone accidentally breaks them!! Grin

6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Om on: June 27, 2009 04:11:20 PM
I can't take the credit for this one - my 16 year old daughter did it. Unfortunately she isn't interested in making her own craftster account. So I want to play the proud mama and show it off for her!  (By the way this is what I use for my avatar because she made it just for me!!)

Her preferred drawing tools are gel pens. This is just a photograph of her work. It looks better in person.
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Guiro Case on: June 27, 2009 03:42:27 PM
My youngest daughter wanted to be in a latin band made up of kids. The only position open was for a back up singer playing a percussion instrument called a guiro (pronounced: weedo).

Unfortunately she has now decided that she does not like that instrument and has no desire to learn another one and has dropped out of the band.

Thank heavens I can re-purpose the bag - it's new job is a water bottle carrier!!! Tongue

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Hook Case on: June 26, 2009 09:49:09 PM
I've seen some amazing cases online so I decided to make my own for my inherited hooks.

Pretty simple, just some left over yarn and a pair of my daughter's old jeans. Wink
