11  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Discussion Thread for Summer Nerd Games on: May 20, 2013 07:57:03 AM
All the May challenges are great! I have ideas for almost all of them, but I'm finishing up a (non-Craftster) swap this week before I'll be able to start on anything. I did, however, go get my supplies for the battle royale yesterday. Oh I'm so excited!  Grin

Just a reminder: TARDIS is being counted as a "ship"... just saying.

And does anybody on Team "Of Ships & Men" have badge-making know-how (and want-to)? Or would any of the badge makers be willing to create/help create a badge for us?

Do badges need to be a specific size? And, when would they need to be made by (do they need to be made throughout the games or in advance)? I could probably whip something up if they don't need to be done right now...I'm a little bit pressed for time this week, but next week and the week after should be better.

15  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: 50 Projects 2013--You Know You Can Do It! Join here and post your lists ! on: April 07, 2013 07:20:41 PM
I finally updated my list...and I only have one project checked off!  Cry Although there are several "monthly" projects that I have completed and updated, and I didn't list all of the nerdwars (Ravelry) projects I've completed, just the ones that are meaningful/I was going to make anyway. I've probably forgotten something, too.

This year has been SO BUSY so far because dh is taking a full load of college courses and working full time as well, plus I work full time, which leaves me doing all the cooking/cleaning/etc and both of us completely exhausted...I am happy when I get six hours of sleep! So I'm just amazed when I manage to get anything done at all! And now it looks like we get less than two weeks "off" in-between spring and summer semesters, ugh.

My favorite single project so far is my mermaid gloves, which were on my to-do list for about five years. Here's the Ravelry Project page Apologies for not adjusting the color balance in the photos.

Oh this sounds like fun! And a good excuse to do some nerd crafting that I haven't gotten around to..not to mention give me incentive to actually post my finished projects to Craftster! But, how to choose just one nerdyverse? D=

Lovely! I have looked at that pattern several times but so far have resisted...your lovely corset may persuade me, however! Wink

I also really like the way the cord looks. Can't wait to see the others you make!
