21  Re: Cant Wait For Supernatural Season 5 Swap SENDOUTS: Aug 31 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by papa justify on: September 02, 2009 10:20:24 AM
YAY!!!
I'm so glad!!!

And, my super awesome package from Pupper! My first swap ever and I LOVE all of it so much!!!
I really wasn't thinking I'd get it so soon, I have more and more faith in the postal system everyday! Smiley

A group shot! I forgot to include the awesome note, I need to take a picture later...it had a panda on the front and little did Pupper know my little sister is bananas over pandas so it made me smile thinking about her!

I've now got matted art of the "Lollipop diseased" bear from "Wishful Thinking," Supernatural stationary (I love to write letters home from college so, WIN WIN WIN!), good omen bags, hex bags, and A METALICAR!!!

Close-up of my bath salt hex bags and stationary! The bags have tags saying, "hex bag against a bad day, against swap anxiety, against flakers, against the cancellation of Supernatural, and one saying hex bag against mean postal workers." The last one makes me laugh so hard because I could have stabbed that woman at the post! The stationary has cool fences and little graveyard punches on the ends. I can't wait to send my Mom a letter!

My bear!!! I can't wait to hang this in my apartment! I think the shotgun is my favorite part and since Pupper sent the mat I'm set for framing!!!

I think these good omen bags are some of my favorite things! So awesome!!!

The one on the left is an omen for good luck and inside was a real four-leaf clover, the one in the middle was a good omen for calmness and I think I'm mesmerized like a magpie by the stones, and the last bag was a good omen for well being and it had a "Slow Down Kit" in it! It had three vials of fragrances. Yay!!!

And...my Metalicar!!!

With the hood and trunk open, I can store to my heart's content. I love the taillights at the end! I bet this took forever and I love it!!! Ahh!!!

And, the action shot of the Sam and Dean Metalicar taking over my pillows...

This was such a great first time! Yay!!!

...I'm totally going to sleep curled up next to that car!

23  love! love! love! cross-stitch in Needlework: Completed Projects by papa justify on: June 21, 2009 11:14:28 PM
For my best friend's birthday!
A lot of our email correspondance/letters/etc. over the years have a love, love, love! closing so I thought It'd be thoughtful to do a dishtowel cross-stitch of that.

I still have a tetris and tea one in the works but for now I'm done with this one.

24  Neon Zig Zag Bookshelf, Image Heavy! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by papa justify on: June 21, 2009 01:43:45 PM
Done over a day, the fast-paced setting of Bonnaroo leaves a little something to be desired when sitting around at home staring at unfinished projects and the unused tool room in our garage!

I stole a plank from the stepdad and used two work horses and and a handsaw (when he had a circular saw hidden the whole time!) and completed the first two "v's" of the shelf. The last "v" was added the next day when I realized it didn't look complete.

The stepdad laughed when he heard about my persistence, despite not finding the right tools!

25  Bright Baby Chick/Fish Painting on Canvas in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by papa justify on: June 21, 2009 01:21:01 PM
I do not remember when I painted this but it was sometime in high school. It was inspired by an episode of the Real World New Orleans. Melissa on the show began to paint chicks and other animals on small canvas four squares and sell them. I loved that but did something different by making the chick's legs into a fish mouth if turned sideways. It's not a direct one-to-one "that's a fish!" but I like the way it turned out then and it's followed me to every college dorm I've lived in. Loved it ever since!

26  Yeah Yeah Yeahs Homemade Shirt 2009 -IMAGE HEAVY- in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by papa justify on: June 17, 2009 06:09:38 PM

This is my newest homemade/home-painted article of clothing.
I wanted to do another Yeah Yeah Yeahs shirt because I just saw them at Bonnaroo and miss them a bunch!

The first one was either 2004/2005 (and Fever to Tell only came out in early 2003! -the first album my fiance ever bought me!) because I wore it most of high school and haven't worn it nearly as much in college.

I do love this one, it's the brightest thing ever!

Done with acrylic craft paint with a 2-1 Textile Medium mix and heat set to finish.
