1  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Cheapest wool processing? on: April 15, 2009 07:46:16 PM
Hiya!  Grin

I am looking for a mill to process 10+ pounds of raw wool I bought from a friend's rescue farm. In the past I have processed my own, but washing, picking and carding 10 pounds is quite daunting.

So I am looking for recommendations for mills. I am looking for inexpensive. So far the cheapest I've found is Zellingers, who will process my raw, medium coarseness wool into regular roving for a little over $6 a pound. I am only interested in having it processed into regular roving rather than pencil roving or batts.

Thanks!
