Hello,

I knit this yesterday and thought I would share. It's a twisted rib beret.
I got the pattern from Ravelry. I'm really happy with the result.
It knit up so fast because it's worsted weight yarn.

I would consider this to be my signature style.
Watercolour and inked lines. I really enjoy painting science fiction/fantasy subjects.

I'm hoping to show my work at a Science Fiction/Fantasy/Comic Art Art Gala here in Ottawa soon.
I'm just waiting to hear back from the organizer.

Do you love Wes Anderson movies? Do the names Bill Murray, Owen Wilson and Anjelica Houston make you giddy? Well, you’ve come to the right place. This swap is for all lovers of Wes Anderson.

This is going to be a very low stress swap. You will be crafting 4 points worth of items for your partner. That means a large and a small or two mediums (or anything else equal to 4 points). I’ve allowed an entire month for crafting, so even though there aren’t many points, you will have enough time to make amazing crafts. Hopefully everyone will have received his or her package before the release of The Fantastic Mr. Fox!

Hi Everyone,

So this year my SO is starting his masters. He looked everywhere for an agenda that was small and showed a full month on two pages. He couldn't find one so I suggested that I would make one for him. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. This is the result.

The cover. We are both Star Wars fans so I painted this on the cover (watercolour) and then covered it with clear tape so he could just throw it in his bookbag and not have to worry about it. The cover is made out of watercolour paper.


The Calendar. A full month spans two pages, just as he had wanted. I made 1 inch squares for the days. I used plain computer paper for the interior.


To bind it I used embroidery floss. I first bound the inner pages and then attached the cover separately. I think it looks pretty good and is reasonably rugged.

Thoughts are welcome

So my SO's sister just got married and I made an afghan for the gift. The SO bought the supplies and I did the labour. It is a small afghan. Big enough to cover one person. The colours I used are brown and deep purple. I thought they would go well with her decor. I used Patons Shetland chunky 25% wool.

Turned out pretty well. There is one mistake that I made and just couldn't figure out how to fix it, so it stayed. You can't even notice it though, which is nice.

This is the entire afghan on a king sized bed.


I found the pattern on the berroco website. It was really easy and straightforward

I'm very happy and proud with it. It was my first blanket and I think it turned out pretty well.

I'm flying to Nova Scotia for a wedding on the 6th, so I'm thinking after I get back from there.

I've decided to post some of the paintings that I made for our apartment.
My boyfriend and I are really big nerds and so I always feel the need to express our nerdyness though art. I'm always ooing and ahhing over the nerdy quilts and embroidery on here.
