Gre job! I can't believe how much work you put into all of that!
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Fennec fox on: November 01, 2013 08:20:53 PM
Last year my newborn baby was a lamb for Halloween: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=416047.msg4919937#msg4919937

This year I tried to up the cuteness factor even more by dressing him as the most adorable animal in the world: a fennec fox.

The outfit is made out of warm and cuddly fleece, with fake fur for the tail and the back of the ears. I used Simplicity 2506 for the jumpsuit pattern, and the hat is a modified sweet pea pilot cap (http://sewliberated.typepad.com/sew_liberated/2010/02/sweet-pea-pilot-cap-pattern-and-tutorial.html). The tail ties on, so it can be easily removed for sitting in a stroller or car seat. If it still fits at Easter, I might torture the poor kid by re-purposing the jumpsuit for a bunny outfit!

You are truly a mad scientist. Love it.
4  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Banana Chocolate Chip Drops on: July 03, 2013 11:48:00 AM
I make these all the time and call them "breakfast cookies." You can add all sorts of stuff! I've added craisins, coconut, chia seeds, canned pumpkin, slivered almonds... they always turn out great!
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Re: Would this be a legitimate swap? on: June 06, 2013 08:32:47 PM
Okay, thanks.

Is it a Craftster rule that tracking numbers must be used? I figured it would be pretty cheap/painless to re-send bits of fabric if the envelope gets lost.
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Would this be a legitimate swap? on: June 05, 2013 12:28:35 PM
I haven't swapped in a long time, but I've been wanting to create an i-spy quilt. I thought it would great to organize a swap for fabric, but I'm not sure it would really work. Could you please give me your opinions, and/or direct me to specific guidelines that might apply? My concerns are:

1. We would only be swapping swatches of fabric. There would be no crafting at all. Any quilts people made with the fabric they received would be outside of the swap. Are supplies-only type swaps legit?

2. Each person would be sending to every other person in the swap. That means they would all have everybody's addresses. Obviously they would know that going in, but is this against the rules or something?

What I envision is that each person would send two (maybe more?) different swatches of fabric to every other participant. They would be mailed regular mail, and I would limit participants to U.S.-only so that the mail would be fast and cheap. I would also limit the number of participants, probably to around 20 or 24, if there was even that much interest.

Thanks for your input!

I've recently started making Waldorf toys and credit you as one of my inspirations!

Beautiful! I would never have the patience.
10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Craft the Weather--based on Leafcutter Designs Sky Scarf concept on: December 10, 2012 10:11:26 AM
What a lovely idea! I'm thinking about crocheting a scarf, but I think I would need to find about 5 different shades of gray for my sky!
