1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / New "Hooker"... just a few completed projects. [baby blanket, scarves, pumpkins] on: December 05, 2010 12:51:25 AM
So I've only been crocheting for a year, but I really enjoy the craft and finally got up the courage to post a few of my completed projects on here... be nice, but C&C welcome...

Baby Blanket - I just finished this bad boy (pattern here: http://www.happyyellowhouse.com/htm/jasie.html) for a classmate who is due in January... everyone who saw it at school loved it!

Reversible Scarves (I got the pattern off Ravelry); one for a friend (with fringe) and one for me (without... I hate fringe)

Mini Pumpkins (based off an apple pattern I got off Ravelry that I just modified a bit by adding the ridges).
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / "Geisha Rebirth" on: August 12, 2009 04:26:32 PM
After 3 long years of working on and off with no pattern at all, my quilt is done. I love the fabrics. This quilt helped me to get over my ex-boyfriend and get through the current DBs decision to join the military and subsequent separation due to boot camp and tech/A school. There are a lot of problems with it, but overall I can't believe I made this... on to the pictures!

Details of the main fabric

Details of the two quilted details... each appears about 6 times across the quilt in the large black areas.

And another full shot... this time with my puppy on it... This quilt is Schnauzer approved!
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Paper Embroidery Triptych on: July 09, 2009 02:22:15 PM

I love peacocks, and always view phoenixes as fiery peacocks... so when I found this pattern for a paper embroidered peacock (http://www.stitchingcards.com/product.php/5/peacock/bf6d364f3efc3c3660d4153236133e9b), I knew I had to do a triptych of them.... so here ya go. c&c welcome

4  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / "Lady Peacock" Renaissance Wall Quilt on: May 12, 2009 04:37:59 PM
This is my first completed quilt. All the work was hand stitched, thus the slightly wonky bottom edge to it.

Completed quilt hanging on my wall:

Details of my favorite square:

The last two are before I finished it. I quilted around each lady/peacock/lady-peacock duo in each square.
