1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / A2Z Summer Collection '10. [picture heavy] on: October 15, 2010 02:12:37 AM
Hello Craftster! Its been so long since I came here.  Tongue

I made the clothes over the summer. We moved to a another country so I spent the whole summer moving boxes and sleeping on airbeds. haha. But after everything was done and all the things were unpacked, I still had half the summer so I went ahead and sewed. Hope you like them. Smiley

Thank you for my mom for being the photographer. She's awesome. Thank you for my house's wall. I didnt need to buy colored paper for backgrounds. Cheesy  Also, I used miasu's bodice pattern. Its been so helpful. Thank you so much.  Grin

Awesome Smiley love making dresses, you get so many outfits out of just a little less work! For the ruffled dress, do you just have two tubes, one boob sized, and one waist sized, and then sew them together and then to a ruffled skirt? or is the black part of what the ruffles are sewn onto?

I have to admit I'm trying to steal the design Smiley it's awesome, I'm so jealous of your fabric too!

Haha! soulmates! im in love with dresses, formal or casual. if only i can wear them everyday.*sigh*

Thats exactly how i did it  Grin. The ruffles were sewn on an A skirt of the same fabric. Haha steal away! its really easy.  Wink

They are all look fabulous Smiley
How long did it take you to make the one with all the layers on the skirt?
Were they just long strips of fabric?

Im really lazy so it took quite some time  Cheesy. i posted the tute i used for the ruffles somewhere here  Grin

I love all you dresses <3<3 beautifulll!!!!

have you a tutorial or pattern for the 3???  Kiss

Its really easy and i mean REALLY easy. lol i just pleated the top part (you probly dont see them coz of the fabric. oh well  Tongue ) and the bottom is a circle skirt so its really nice to twirl in it. Then i sewed it all together with a strip of black fabric in the middle. hehe hope this helps but if you still dont understand you could message me  Smiley

Oh, so nice and summery... I like the red one so much I'm thinking about "borrowing" your idea Grin

Steal away! haha!

Thanks everyone for their comments. Im so happy everyone likes them. Im a dress girl so you'll see more dresses later on. Grin

I LOVE the one with the ruffles/frills! SO CUTE!  Is that technique hard to do? Someone posted a link on how to make them, but I was just wondering how difficult you found it!  Thanks in advance!

Its not hard at all! i used a tutorial to make them --->http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=47558.0
hehe i love tutes  Grin

Wow the second one and the last one are awesome!
Do you use a pattern?

Nope. im not really good at patterns  Tongue but i use tutorials  Grin

They look great. Did they take you long to make?
uhhh...i dont really know  Tongue i put it off when im bored but usually 1 week i guess...hehe i take a long time.

ooh i like the last one, how you did two bubbles?

i used a tutorial (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=85020.0) for the bottom skirt and the top...i just winged it i guess  Smiley

Im a beginner so i use tutes  Wink

It took 2 months to get our lazy bums up (well mine  Wink) and 1 month to actually do it so here it is!
