Beautiful packages so far! But mine I received from Leslieshappyheart is definitely the best Sorry, guys!
Sorry for my delay in posting pictures. I had planned to yesterday but, well, yesterday turned out to be a beast.
Without further ado:
First, an AMAZING extra, Leslie sent me a pair of her favorite scizzors and they cut like butterrrr... So nice. Such a thoughtful extra, and it has a wee felt heart fob attached with the tiniest of fine stitching and buttons. I love it so much.
Next, an altered matchbox to look like a hilarious potter-world-esque monster book of monsters. It came complete with another tiny devoured monster inside, also expertly stitched Isn't the pair of them so cute?
This little zippered pouch is so well made and gorgeous. Fully lined and padded and everything! I really do admire LHH's sewing skills. Maybe she was born beneath a sewing machine or with the blessing of the good stitching fairy. Who knows?
Finally, the morsbag itself. The colors are so perfect. I love, love, love them. I can't wait to go grocery shopping so I can show off my pretty new bag.
The whole lot. Thank you so much, Leslie! This awesome package couldn't have come at a better time. Got some bad news this week, and I truly needed a little sunshine. **hugs** Thank you
What an amazing gallery! I finally caught up to oohing and ahhing at all the lovely HOs. Amazing. My tippy top favorites (though every package has been awesome) are the dog paintings, the ceramic santa and the colorful birdie blocks!
My apologies to homerof2 for posting these pics a few days later than expected. Life has been crazytown. Like, really crazytown. Without further ado:
The first small ho is this cuuuute little ornament. One of my themes was cardinals and snowmen, and I'm so glad homerof2 picked it. I think this probably qualifies as more than a small, because cross stitch takes a long time! Love this, it's on my tree now.
The next small HO is a mugrug with ho ho stitched on, perfect for a mug of cocoa and a christmas cookie
And the large ho is this pretty stocking with a super soft fuzzy cuff at the top. I can't stop touching it, lol. And there is more beautiful cross stitch work.
And finally, homerof2 included some extras, a stack of great holiday colorful paper (I can never have enough paper!) and a toucan ATC! I love me some toucans and this one is too cute!
Thank you so much, homerof2! This package really brightened my weekend!!!
Awesome packages, guys! That halloweenie wreath is so cute! And the 2-headed pumpkin is so rad!
I received from Hayleylujah on Thursday, but am just now getting to posting pics. My weekend... was...not so grand. Felt pretty ill, then on a 2-hour drive to a doctor's appt this morning, I got a speeding ticket. In a construction zone. And I realllllly deserved it. The cop was super-nice though and knocked down the violation by 11 mph. So, it could have been hundreds of dollars worse, BUT it still appears as if the bummer weekend has extended itself.
But enough off-topic rambling excuses. I have pics of Hayley's lovely package, and I am posting them. NOW.
She made me this adorable tote, which I think I'm going to use to hold my candy for handing out at this year's trunk-or-treat!
I love this grinning cat And it's a box! This is right up on my mantle for the rest of October
And it's filled with awesome buttons!!! I can't wait to use some of these.
Thank you so much, Hayley, for an awesome package! Sorry again it took me so long to post pics!
So I've just gotten caught up in the gallery and it's so fun to scroll through and think, "ooh, I want that one, and that one, and that one!" My faves are the special Janet kitty, and fabricfriend's brown one.
I received two great cards today! They were waiting for me in my mailbox when I got home this evening. Special mail is so nice to come home to
This one is from tamalama, a Charlie Brown-themed card with lots of little 3d elements, and she even included a bonus pair of pumpkin earrings! Thank you, Tamalama!
And this one is from aluracelest, and it's on the back of a Magic the Gathering card Very cool. It's got a lot of shimmer to it, and the skelly and boo banner are 3d. Thanks so much!
I made my first real attempt at needle felting tonight I made a wee felt version of my sun conure, Peanut.
It ended up really tiny because I hadn't realized when I started how compacted the wool gets when you needle felt it all together. It's only about 1.5'' tall. I think I'll try for something bigger next time, because there was a lot of accidental finger stabbing. Yowch.
The other side
My wee little first felt creature
The likeness is unmistakable, and Peanut is weirded out by the little thing.
He is suspicious... and will keep a close watch on this tiny imposter.
Get ready for an awesome tin, everyone! I didn't expect MicroJivvy's tin to arrive yesterday, but I woke up this morning and lo and behold, Mr. Nooo had brought in the box and set it on the table when he got home from work last night!
Jivvy chose to depict a little wicked Godzilla and I LOVE IT.
Look at all that detail (couldn't expect less from microjivvy ) The teeny tiny books and toys. That wicked little godzilla, practicing his mayhem and destruction. I love that he's crushing a block! Did you fold all those little blocks? Amazing.
A detail that I absolutely LOVE. Heheheehe! She used some of my inchies and illustrations and shrunk them down to use as wall art in Godzilla's nursery. I think this is so awesome and makes it so personalized and genius.
BUT this drawing makes me so delighted, because a long time ago, I posted some of the drawings I did as a little kid on my blog, and this squirrel is one of them. Love this detail, Jivvy! Makes me so happy.
Here is the back, complete with vintage Godzilla movie poster
And the PERFECT monsterrific pedestal She mentioned that she had the perfect thing, and oh boy, did she. Love it.
Thank you SOOO much, MicroJivvy! I really do love it. Makes me smile!
Dude, I am top slacker when it comes to posting projects to Craftster! Well, I'm making a resolution yet again to be better at it. So here is a collection of cards I've made over the past few months... I used rubber stamps for all of them, most of them (not the first 3) are of my own animal or monster illustrations. I like to use watercolors or colored pencils to color the stamped images!
Alice in Wonderland
Aw snap! Kid cowboy!
Amazon parrot. Squawk can mean so many things, so this card could be anything
Floating dog birthday. The original sketch of this dog is in my Sketchbook Project book from 2010
Hugs...a friendly little beast.
Mr. Fancy Gentleman Fox... With a novelty yarn border.
