I just did the poppet mini swap and got a wonderful poppet from my partner WildFyre. I thought she needed a friend so I decided to try to make another poppet (my second one). The first one I just used the basic pattern since I wasn't sure how hard it would be. I decided to try the elenore pattern this time. I named her Trixie and I'm super pleased with how she turned out.


I gave her bendable fingers using pipe cleaner. Here she is rocking out and throwing up the horns. I crocheted a cap to fit her head and then attached the longer strands of yarn to make her hair.


Here she is camouflaging into my bed (which was the inspiration for her dress). I basically just made up the dress pattern as a went along but I like how it turned out.

These are her underwear. The top laces up in the back. This was the first thing I made her so she didn't have to sit around naked.

I am definitely hooked on poppets now. I can't wait to make her some more clothes. I hope you like her

I made a new dress for my poppet and a necklace. I didn't use a pattern so I kind of just made it up while I went along. I like how it came out though. I just have to make her some shoes now to go with it.

I finally got my second poppet complete enough to show off. I tried the Elenore pattern for this one and I'm really happy with how she came out. I needle sculpted her toes and gave her bendable fingers and everything. Her hair is a crocheted cap that I latched the strands of yarn to for hair. Because of this, she has no bald spots, her whole head is covered. I actually just pinned it in place because I want to be able to change her hair if I like.

Right now she is still in her underwear because I need to make her some clothes but that is the next adventure. Oh, and I named her Trixie (after Trixie Tang from Fairly Oddparents )

I just got my presents from DeadGirl today and I nearly had a heart attack.

Mini Toki Wartooth and Dr. Rockso from Metalocalypse!!! They are two of my favorites so I literally jumped with joy when I upwrapped these!!


As if the dolls weren't enough, she gave me a super cute pin cushion that is zebra print so it will match my room And if you look up close you can see that the pins have Dethklok pictures on them.


Then to top it all off, she sends me some chocolate. I can't wait to break in to that!

I just got my poppet from WildFyre today and I am in love! She is even more awesome than I hoped she would be. I love the guitar too. I just need to think of a cool rock star name for her now





The pictures really wash out the colors but her dress is really a bright lime green and her hair is much more vibrant in person. I'm gonna have to make her some friends now

For the Venture Bros. swap, I knew I wanted to make a doll for my partner of their favorite character. When I got matched up with Inara I found that her favorite character is Dr. Orpheus. I have to admit I was a little nervous since I've never made a doll this complicated before. Actually, I've never really made a doll period.

I made up all the patterns for the clothes and the doll itself as I went along, mostly trial and error. I actually made his hair twice as well. The first time I used crappy AC Moore felt and it looked terrible. I went to Joann and got a couple shades of wool felt and redid his hair and facial hair and he looks much better now.


His face is all hand embroidered. I drew it on freehand with an embroidery marker and then stitched it on. His facial hair is just wool felt that I glued in place. His hair is four layers of wool felt that are glued and stitched around his face.


He cloak unfastens with a snap under his "dracula trophy". I made it with gold sculpy and a red rhinestone and coated it with polyurethane. His robe is made from red novelty velvet (that's what it said at Joann) with black satin ribbon for the trim. All of his clothes (including shoes) are completely removable, if one were so inclined.


This back shot shows the detail of the cloak. It is lined in purple and I painted the edges and emblem with gold acrylic paint. I added a red rhinestone to the middle.

You definitely have to watch this show. It's awesome.

I hope you all like him! I was so sad to send him away, but I'm glad Inara is giving him a good home

I just sent off my gift for the Venture Bros. swap and I'm not ready to start any huge projects yet so I decided to make myself a little something.

I decided to make Jailbot from Superjail! He is made of felt and completely hand-sewn. I tried to embroider his face with green floss but the felt was too stretchy and it kept coming out super lopsided. I was lucky enough to find some lime green felt for his face instead. He's still not perfect, but I like him
