I know you should insert the triangle cut-out, but what are more of the specific STEPS of how to make these type of jeans? Like how to sew in the triangle or any other specific procedures, so I don't end up doing trial and error.

I don't know much about sewing, but I don't want to buy a new pair of jeans for like 20-30 dollars. So I'm sorry if this is confusing for any advanced sewers (please send me a message with any questions).

Any help in how to approach making "the flares done with triangles" would be really appreciated. Resources, like links to websites or other posts, are very helpful.

I want to make a pair of pants "from scratch".

I'm a newbie to sewing, I know little to nothing. I don't have a sewing machine, and I'm just hoping for the basic procedure for starting to make a pair of pants (cutting out the legs, sewing a waist, etc.). Generally, I want them to be pants with a zipper, no back pockets, and two front pockets. The personal touches and fit (low-rise, flare, etc.) I could figure out later. First I'd like to make a wide leg cut pair, second I'd attempt a bell bottom flare pant. I'd use typical denim fabric, make no back pockets, only regular front pockets (the little scoop kind). I just would like to know how to make a pattern and sew them (I'm sewing impaired), cuz I know how to run wild with creative embellishments!
