First I made the cake with Wilton's 3D skull pan, I trimmed the 2 pieces until they fit together nicely then glued them together with espresso flavoured icing.
Then I covered it with white fondant, careful to keep the face as smooth as possible and pushed all the ugly folds towards the back. I found that this cake is really hard to cover perfectly and that's what last minute flower bombing is for
Then I went to town with royal icing, icing gel, fondant markers and silver dragees, I used black fondant for the eyes, eyebrows and cut out a mustache with my new mustache cookie cutter. Then I cut out lots of flowers to hide the ugliness in the back.
It was really easy because the pan does most of the work for you.
