Amazing work so far ladies!  I especially love the white scarf, the stitch pattern is really interesting.

Here is some more loveliness:

A wonderful peacock hoop from MightyMinnieMouse.  I love the beading Smiley

I apologize that it took me so long to post pictures.  I couldn't find the camera then there was (Canadian) Thanksgiving madness to deal with.

2  Multi-Occasional April Cake :D in Dessert by missmlissa on: April 14, 2012 06:38:02 AM
So every Easter our family celebrates the Holiday and the birthdays that come with it.  But this year was a little more special as 2 of the birthdays were BIG ones.  My MIL and GMIL were turning 60 and 80 respectively so I wanted to make the cake and I wanted it to represent them, the Holiday and this particular spring which has come weeks earlier than usual.

I started with a chocolate cake torted with super rich vegan (Shhh! Nobody noticed they were eating tofu) chocolate mousse from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World.  Covered it in marshmallow fondant.  Then I Stacked and painted the cakes.  The sky was watered down food colouring and the grass was piping gel.  Then I made up a batch of modelling chocolate for the tree and then added gum paste flowers I had made ahead of time.  I piped on the names, numbers and Happy Birthday in melted chocolate.  Lastly I added the bunnies which represent the lovely mothers and their children.

I was really happy with the outcome.  I hadn't painted a cake in a while and it's one of my favourite techniques (when it works  Wink )

Here is my fantastic package from Crystallized_Art:

There are SOOO many great things!

Snowflake bath fizzy
Beautiful cowl that I could NOT (I tried!) get a decent picture of but it is a lovely dark green blend fine yarn knitted on big needles so it has a nice light and airy feeling.
Cute little mug
Amazing chocolate coffee
A "Mug Hug" that is a silicone lid for your coffee
A cute mug cozy that has a mustache and says "Hey there Tough Guy" - taken from a bag of coffee on my Pinterest
After Eight hot chocolate - mmmmmm
Coffee flavoured VerMints
And a delicious smelling coffee sugar scrub which I can't wait to use!

Not pictured are the Hershey's chocolate almond bar that the vultures devoured as it came out of the box, a set of incredible recipes (can't wait to try the chicken pot pie casserole - no worries Crystal saying I'm a vegetarian is much easier than explaining that I'm a very terrible former vegetarian who will occasionally eat chicken or turkey  because they are too yummy to resist Grin) and a pattern for yoga socks.

Thank You so much Crystal you are a great partner!

4  Sugar Skull Cake in Dessert by missmlissa on: January 26, 2012 06:47:14 PM
I made this guy a little while ago and wanted to share him with you.  He's not perfect but that's one of the things I like about it, which is really weird for me cuz I'm usually a bit nit picky.  I'm pretty happy with how he turned out and was so happy to finally use my 3D skull pan Grin Can't wait for Day of the Dead to make another.

Great baby gear!

I was SPOILED rotten by Mama24boyz.  We don't live very far from each other so she dropped everything off last night.  Talk about instant gratification!

So first off:  The baby goodies

An amazing crochet star blanket.  The picture doesn't do the colours justice.  the purple is much more vibrant in person.

And adorable owl hats for my son and his new baby sibling for next year.  These were off of my Pinterest.

Now for Mason's awesomeness:

Superhero cape and mask.  I cannot wait to give him this.  But his 3rd birthday is in a week so I'm going to wait.

And these amazing Angry Bird characters.  I'm really excited about the pig.  He likes to pretend he's the bird and I'm the pig  Cheesy  And they're perfectly executed.  They look better than any of the plushies I've seen in stores.

And this great Angry Bird hat.  He loves it.  And we took him out today and he got lots of compliments.  You should have given me business cards Mama24boyz!

Thank you so very much!!!

I may have to steal that ornament tradition, what a great idea.

I received a lovely scarf for my father-in-law last week from Miss Barbara. Thank You!

Are we showing our baby pictures?  Yay!

This is my baby.  Her name is Bad Kitty.

We also have a tandem bike but I find it really hard to relinquish control to my SO and vice versa.

That diaper bag is the bee's knees.  I wish I could snatch it off the screen.  And is it weird that I love Calavera Harry's glasses?  I really admire your perfect stitches Erica!

Well my partner KatFish has been really busy with work and was having trouble with Craftster photo uploading so she's asked me to post pics of what I sent her.

Her wist has a definite psychobilly theme to it so I made her a Mr. and Mrs. Frankenstein shrine.  A Catrina pincushion that was mentioned earlier on in the gallery.  The pattern can be found here on Craftster.  A sugar skull thimble and needle threader and I also sent her a couple of buttons that seemed to go along with the theme of the shrine and a set of stickers that I also noticed earlier in the gallery.

Wow.  All that stuff is great, everything so far has been amazing.  Those felt magnets are now on my To Make list.

And now some more great stuff!

I received a fantastic package from KatFish.  I am incredibly jealous of her sewing skills!

First off I received this amazing apron.  I bake A LOT and I'm CLUMSY.  So whenever I go to a thrift shop I'm always picking up adorable aprons I can't resist but, well, they end up looking more like loin cloths on me 'cuz I'm no size 6 (not since grade 6  anyway Grin).  So no more of that, I have the best apron EVER!

It fits perfectly and has a sweet little flounce so you can't help but twirl.  Here's a better pic of the flounce.

And here's the rest of the awesome package

1)  A Katfish original painting of a Sacred Heart.  It's so bright and cheerful!
2)  A great necklace featuring Howlite (methinks) coloured skull charms.  My two year old loves it and keeps trying to steal it.
3)  2 reusable snack bags lined with vinyl so they are washable.  I have wanted some of these for a really long time.  And to have ones made in a sugar skull print = giant smile.
4)  A set of 4 napkins made in complimentary prints.  One of them is "Los Novios" which I have been looking for everywhere!

And not pictured is a big yellow flower hair clip which the little monster put somewhere.  It'll turn up eventually.

Thanks a whole bunch KatFish!  You were a wonderful first time swapper!
