I love the Katamari Series! Although watching it gives my husband a headache. Tongue Did you just use regular construct paper? I've always loved this depthy paper art style, but can't figure out exactly how its done. Do you have links to this kind of technique?

Blegh! You will never ever catch me using construction paper on anything visible! That stuff is so poopy, fades like crazy, and is so mega flimsy.

Here's a link so the process of another one I did: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=333622.msg3853668#msg3853668

Every paper artist has a different technique, I don't really know of anyone who works like anyone else.

Jeeeze I have been busy recently! So much crafting! I made this as a card to give to the people who gave me graduation gifts. That was two months ago, but what the hey. Sometimes being tacky is the only way to fly.

I'm also going to send one to our vet, who was so kind when our kitty was ill and when we finally had to put him down. They sent us such a wonderful sympathy card, they definitely need to know how much we appreciated them.

Also, THANK YOU for being such great and supportive people!

I made this for a friend's magazine, and I'm so tired now! But anyway! This is 100% paper and 100% awesome and. Also. I love it.

http://www.4colorrebellion.com/archives/2010/05/05/cory-schmitzs-exp/ if you're curious about the magazine, read that. It might be useful. If you remember the katamri thing I posted a while ago, it was for his first magazine Cheesy

My kitty likes it.

I am 100% impressed with the lettering. I'm so bad at cutting straight lines haha.

your work is absolutely amazing! i love paper cutting, and the way you use layers and shadows is awesome, to say the least. I'm looking to buy the hardcover version of your book on lulu, but is that an original, or is it print versions of all the pages?

It's just print versions. Unfortunately I had to make it so expensive to make some kind of profit it on it, not to mention I spent probably 200-300 just buying the colored paper to make the darn thing @_@

I want to give this a try! Do you think lime juice would do the same thing as lemon? I don't see why not, but eh, thought I would ask. We have lime juice for making buttermilk, but no lemon!
