572  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Suggestions for kitchen. on: May 02, 2009 06:44:11 PM
This is a picture I took of our kitchen as I was cleaning it before we moved in.
I like a lot of cabinet space, but this is a little over doing it!!
I would have to litterally climb on the counters to get to the top row of cabinets, but I dont us 'em.
Any suggestion on what I could do with this?  I am going to go with reds, yellows, and oranges for the kitchen.
My inspiration are these great sheer orange curtians I found at walmart.
I was thinking I could remove the doors on the top row and use it to display something, but I dont really have anything cool enough to display, and I dont collect anything.
AND I rent, so I cant really do a whole lot...... I havent even asked if I can paint yet!!

573  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / I decide to try cardboard furniture. on: May 02, 2009 06:30:13 PM
I have read a couple post here, and on instructables about cardboard furniture.
My fiance and myself was surfing the web looking at dressers and similar type of clothing storage for our room.
We came across this GREAT looking dresser type deal, that was hundreds of dollars.... I just knew I could make it,
or atleast try.  So here is my attempt at cardboard furniture.  I am very proud of it, and it is very sturdy.
I work at walmart, and the manager let me have some ov the BIG signing they put up at each door, so I have a bunch left, I'm gonna make some great bed side tables too!!

As you can see I'm not totally finished, I have to finish up the bottom drawer, and paint.
I was even thinking I could make a paper mache paste, and slap some on there to hade the egdes of the tape,
and give it a cool look to it.

Suggestions, and comment are welcomed.
Thanks for looking.

I love all 3 of them!
They are great, my button collection is null.... Sad unless you count the 5 or so buttons I have that come extra with shirts you buy!!   I wish I had a great collection, so I could make cool frames. Tongue You did a great job!!

Is that an Iggy in your avatar?

That is so cute, where did you find the pattern?
I think it looks perfect on Gracie... I hope she has some of her own.

I'm sorry, I meant to post that!!
It is Simplicity 3667, I bought it at Wal-Mart, it comes with 3 other patterns.
578  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / doggie pajamas!! on: April 24, 2009 04:27:48 PM
This was my first attempt at sewing pajamas for one of my friends dog.
It swallows my Gracie, and was a little snug for the recieving pup, but it fit him!

Oh my goodness   Shocked
Where did you get the peg board, AND the hooks for it, I could def use that.
I also wish I had an entire room for my stuff.... right now I have an area, which I call my room.
I'm gonna post about it when I'm done with it, and I take pictures!!
