3  Washable potty pads!! in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by K3lly on: March 19, 2013 02:18:23 PM
I really should have done this with our last foster dog.  We spent so much money on pads while she was here, and she still
peed in random spots all over my house..  Anywho.  I made a special trip out to the Goodwill looking for cotton sheets to layer
up for pads.  Ya know, on the cheap.  It must have been my lucky day, because I came across one of those mattress pads to
add cushion onto a bed.  I got it, and a flannel bed sheet.  The padding was just big enough to make 3 pads just the right size.
Also the flannel sheet I got was enough to cover them all.  I'm so excited about them!  They came out great.  Not perfect,  one
of them has a crooked edge, but they will work perfectly for us.  I got some plastic vinyl at walmart, that will be what protects my
carpet.  I can easily wipe that down and launder the top part and change them out as needed.

4  No sew curtains --- right place? in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by K3lly on: January 31, 2013 05:52:36 PM
Recently-- by recently I mean 5 months ago-- we moved to a new State.  Which means NEW DECOR!
We have a total of 11 windows on the main floor.  And I was tired of seeing them all nekkid.  After shopping
around for 'real' curtains, and then falling in love with $30/yard fabric, I decided to use flat sheets. I plan on
making a cornice to go along the top.  But haven't gotten around to it yet.  They look pretty good, and I am
happy with how they turned out.  I did have to fold down the tops, to shorten them to just meet the floor so
my dogs wouldn't mess them up.  I think I did a good job!!  C&C always welcome.

Not the best photos, sorry.

5  TV stand!! in Completed Projects by K3lly on: December 19, 2012 10:27:18 AM
Is there a wood working/furniture board?  If so.... I couldn't find it.
We got a new TV, and it is quite a bit bigger than our dinky one we replaced.... so we needed something
better than the book shelf to keep it on.  The stain is still drying, and I can not wait to get it in the house!!
C&C Welcome

6  Re: Harry Potter Room for my girlies in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by K3lly on: December 16, 2012 07:34:03 PM
I had a place under the counter in the kitchen as a child. It was so comforting to know there was a place only I could fit in to.

Such a great idea for your girls. Smiley

In our last place there was a big storage/pantry type room.  It was PERFECT for my girls.
But we do with what we have, right.

7  Harry Potter Room for my girlies in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by K3lly on: December 16, 2012 02:06:14 PM
We recently moved, and in our new placed there is a small storage space under the steps.
There was a solid door in the opening, but I knew I wanted that space to be for my girls.
So I took it off, and put their bed and a few blankets in there.  They use it randomly on
their own, but now that I have finally finished this little door, they will be sleeping in there
at night.

I wanted to paint it white to match the framing, but DH said he reeeeaaaalllyy loves the wood
grain, so I am leaving it this way.... for now.  There is a small gap, so it could have been about
1/3" wider, but it works.  And I am happy with it.

C&C Welcome.

Cute little handle I got from UrbanOutfitters.com!

9  TARDIS Tablet Sleeve in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by K3lly on: April 03, 2012 05:45:56 PM
I made this for my Hubby today.  He just got a new tablet, and will be traveling with
it in the near future.  He is super cheap so he doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg
on one.  Anywho.  I came up with this.  Now he wants one for his iPod.  Looks like I am
making another one tomorrow!

10  "Home is where the Air Force sends us" needle work in Needlework: Completed Projects by K3lly on: March 08, 2012 01:21:43 PM
I have been wanting to do something like this for some time now, and have finally sat down to get it done.
I am not totally done with these yet.  I want to paint the frames.  I was thinking black to keep them simple
and they would still match my crazy colorful decor with out adding to the craziness.

What I did was pick out some matching scrapbook paper from my stash... traced the outline on each of them,
I used my needle to poke holes in the paper evenly and then stitched them in.  I even put little hearts over the
area where we live/will live.  I'm happy with how they turned out.  I can't wait to paint the frames and get them
hung up.

There is some detail in the paper on the Nebraska one that is hard to see in the photo, but it's nice.
