Some cinnamon rolls because I have some yeast that's just hankering to be used up. So nice and-a da-fluffy...

I made granola tonight to go in some trailmix! Yay! It's a super simple recipe too. Boil 1/4 cup each of brown sugar, honey, and vegetable oil, 1 tsp. cinnamon, and 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Pour it on 4 cups of oats and mix to coat everything in yummy goodness. Pour everything into a shallow baking pan and bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes, stirring every five minutes or so. Stir after it's out of the oven too so that you don't get one chunk of granola the size of your pan.

I'm posting this while I wait for it to cool, and it's proving to be a very hard wait. Darn you deliciousness of cinnamon and sugar, darn you!

I saw this post from domestikatie and absolutely squee-ed my pants off: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=308970.0. But I had no readily available child, so I decided to make a big people version for myself. I have kind of a flat head though (thanks Dad!) so it doesn't look quite right. Will probably be gifting it to my roommate. Next time I'll probably use a thicker or sturdier yarn- Caron Simply Soft doesn't work for everything I suppose. But at $2 a skein, how can you say no?! And such pretty colors.... Sorry for the glarey computer pics. Also, does anyone know how to knit brims? I kind of kludged this one out with a seed stitch.

First time posting, so here we go!

I keep seeing those awesome and giant wall decals at Ikea and Urban Outfitters and everywhere, but I couldn't bring myself to spend the thirty dollars on them, thinking that I could cut one out myself for a heck of a lot cheaper. Probably not the most novel entry ever, but I like falling asleep under the oh so fake branches. Anyways, here is a peekture!



The dollarish store on the corner of my block had self liner for $2 a roll, and I used two rolls for the two patterns I wanted. And after that it was just drawing drawing and cutting cutting. And about twenty minutes smoothing smoothing onto my wall. Hopefully it lasts until my lease is up...
