1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / baby/chibi vulpix on: January 06, 2012 10:29:26 AM

I made it as Christmas present for my sister!

Though you can't see it, it only has 5 tails. I like to think it's because it's a baby! But there IS room for another tail. I just didn't make it because I was sick and also running out of time to finish it.

Pattern is no longer available.

hihi :3 I just realized I haven't posted in about a year.  Embarrassed

here's what I made this month. they're all about 3" tall and made with vanna's choice & red heart yarn.

I made these in 2010:

thanks for looking! :3
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Elefante, Garden Snail, and a Bear :D on: December 31, 2009 06:45:51 PM
This is all the knitting I got done this month! :3

I used Vanna's Choice Baby in Pink Poodle, Aqua, and Mint. It took me over a week to finish. Tongue
I used this pattern: http://susanbanderson.blogspot.com/2007/04/page-18-elefante.htm
(Except for the ears, I had to modify them a bit because I didn't have the right hook size.)

Garden Snail from the Amigurumi Knits book:

Yep, same yarn as before! Cheesy

This one only took me 2 days to finish, I think.
The shell is really fun to make :3

And here's my bear.
I've been trying to knit one (without pattern) for a while and
this is the only one that came out ok.

And here it is with a leafy & a tiny crocheted froggy.

I used 3.5mm needles and yarn from KnitPicks Cheesy
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / short row yoke shaping help... on: November 10, 2009 11:22:53 PM
http://dullegriet.wordpress.com/2008/02/03/tutorial-truffle-cardigan-from-the-ground-up-part-1/

I'm having trouble with the short rows for the yoke. Sad
I've tried several different things and it's just not coming out right like in the photos.
I'm not sure where the short rows should be.

I have 2 cable repeats (each 12 stitches) and 3 spacer stitches.

5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / My bunnies! (yay pictures!) on: October 26, 2009 08:13:08 PM
I just had to share them here...  Embarrassed
I like bunnies. I've crocheted a few before
but I was never really happy with them.
But I <3 these!

I'm surprised that they can sit on their own without falling over. Cheesy
They're approx. 4" tall (ears down to butt).

(Yes, they do have tails~! Cheesy You can barely see it ^)

And... This is my sketch!

I used felt for the eyes & stitched on the nose and mouth to get an idea
of how it'd look while I waited for my 15mm safety eyes to arrive!

It turned out that the nose & mouth looked weird with the safety eyes
(I thought so...  Undecided)

So I tried many different ones and decided to do something smaller
(and more adorable)!

...I'm hoping to make some kitties, bears, and puppies with a similar
design... later. :3
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / shrinky dinks yay on: September 29, 2009 10:23:45 AM
I've wanted them for a long time and
I finally bought them a few days ago!!

They're so fun Cheesy

I just made these last night:

Kitty vampires!

I didn't like watching it in the oven. Tongue I was convinced
they were going to come out skewed or something!

They're about 1" tall. You can't really tell in the pictures,
but the first one is colored a bit different.

I hope to make more to give as necklaces & earrings for my
friends Smiley

But of course~ I made lots and lots of pandas first
to test things out.

Only a few got too skinny or a bit skewed.

And after those, I made some birdy earrings.
I was really happy that they didn't come out too weird! Cheesy

thanks for reading Cheesy
7  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / my tiny fox :D on: September 19, 2009 03:01:27 AM
Hi!! Good morning!

Here it is:

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3459/3933077833_446e58e409.jpg

I've wanted to make a fox for a while but I forgot I had orange yarn... Tongue
I loved making it. I took so many breaks but it probably didn't take me more than
5 hours to finish it.

I absolutely love the tail! It's so adorable Cheesy I made it poseable! And I also
made it jointed because I couldn't decide if I wanted to sew it pointing
up or to the side. Cheesy

I haven't measured it yet but it fits in my hand perfectly! Cheesy
Hopefully I can make another soon! I have uneven number of safety eyes now. XD

Here's a slightly better view of the tail... though you can't see the shaping
very well Sad

Thank you for looking! <3
8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / baby dragons!! :D on: June 15, 2009 03:45:12 PM

I had this sketched out weeks ago and I finally got felt last week.

Each one took me over 20 hours. I'm kinda new to sewing felt so I took my time... lol.

They are approximately 4.5" tall. (The green one is slightly taller! :O)

And I used Vannas Choice Baby yarn. I really like it, its very soft.

i hope they are cute enough :3 they're fun to make.
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Layout of PDF patterns. on: May 21, 2009 02:04:45 PM
Do you have a preference as to how they look?

Do you like colored boxes? A certain font size? The pages to be in columns? Work in progress pictures? Do pictures need to have a rounded shape? Border? Should pictures be scattered throughout or do all of them need to be on the last pages so you can choose not to print them out?

I have materials, info on stitches used, several pictures, and the pattern.
I'm just not quite sure how to make the documents more professional looking.
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / I'm been working on these... on: April 27, 2009 07:27:52 PM
I finally made myself a bag. I just put my DS and wallet in it~

The embroidery took me a while. I had no fancy pens so
it's all freehand.

The green is more accurate in this picture. ^

But I thought you might want to see the details a bit better:

I also made some newborn booties! They're so fun to make! :D

They are over 3" in length.
Still trying to find a baby for these lol

And now I'm working on this for someone:

She didn't have any particular design in mind. She wanted
something mainly black, pink & easy to carry around.

The front is shell stitch & I had no fancy buttons
so I made the rose.

Hopefully she'll like it...
