21  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Frugal Living 2: Return of the Cheap Gallery on: May 12, 2010 09:47:32 AM
Don't know about you other crafty ladies, but I tie mine to a chair  IT'S THE ONLY WAY Tongue

Grin  Mink, I can't believe how big Noah is!  Of course, he was in his stroller the whole time when we met before...but he was still a little baby..now he looks like a toddler!

I love how unique the packages are.  Lots of similar things but seeing them in so many different patterns and colours is fun!

And yeah....just in case anyone is wondering, I'm still very pregnant.  Grrrrr....

Sad...guess I'll miss out on this round.  With only five spots left and no signs of this baby leaving its current residence, I can't imagine I'll make it in.  Have fun being awesome, everybody!!  I'll be stalking the gallery and hoping for a round two. Grin

The baby shower in a box goodies are amazing! What adorable gifts.

I know, aren't they?  I feel SO incredibly blessed. Cheesy

Yeah, apparently this kid isn't budging for now.  Oh, well, according to my doctor, I'm only four days late now and according to my dates, I'm due today.  I've had two come a week late and one was early...so I expect within a few days.  The goal is to avoid induction on the 20th by having baby before then!  Here's hoping!!

Oh, and I used the dryer balls today.  Along with the lavender sachet I made myself..I feel so frugal. Wink

I was sure you'd have your baby before the package arrived!   Roll Eyes

I received my package from Flower today - with lots of frugal goodies and some additions to my baby shower in a box, too. Grin  Thank you, Flower!!  I'll post pictures soon(ish) in the gallery.  Unless I go into labour now. Wink

Aaaaaaaand, with dinkime joining us, we're half full.

(I could have said "half empty", but I'm an optimist.  Cheesy)

Ahhh!! I didn't notice the limit...now there are two things that would keep me from joining - either it will be full or I won't give birth this week.  Okay, now I'm rooting for baby tonight or tomorrow so I can still get in. Cheesy

I received my package from Flower today!  So now I can have the baby. Wink  We were hanging out in the backyard and I just made it to the front to catch the delivery as he was writing out the card to say he missed us.  Yay!  Otherwise I would have had to wait until tomorrow to pick it up at the post office.

Anyway, Flower sent me a great package with items from my wishlist and a few surprises. Cheesy

A rupunzel scarf - it's soooo soft and the colours are very "me".  Five felted wool dryer balls - I can't wait to try these out and time my drying.  Right now it seems like my dryer takes forever.

The lighting is weird on the next two....but I was too lazy to try to fix it. Smiley  A wet bag for keeping my unpaper towels in until they get washed - I love this fabric (it's green..even though it doesn't look like it here) and it goes well with my kitchen, too!  Reusable snack bags - these will definitely be used in my purse or diaper bag for baby and kid snacks.  I always feel bad going through ziplocs like I do...for financial and environmental reasons.  I end up reusing them too long and they get holes in them.  So these will be terrific!  And again, I LOVE the fabric - the colours are great!

The rest of the package was an addition to my baby shower in a box (see my signature for a link to all the other stuff I got from a bunch of awesome Craftsters) and a few books for my kiddos.  Flower sent me a soother/pacifier clip, a felted wool rattle ball - SO cool - and a whole bunch of size 2 diapers that her baby outgrew.  She said awhile back that she would pad my package with them...I imagined four or five, but there are way more than that.  Thank you, Rose!!!!

This has been another great swap - like lots of others, I look at all the pictures and make a mental list of all the great ideas people have..and things I want in the next round. Wink  I'm so happy with this package - the dryer balls especially are something I've really been wanting. Yay!

Ohhh, I like the sound of this.  Like the random swap in miniature (sort of...).  If I have my baby before sign-ups end, I might just have to do this one.  And if hubby doesn't flip when I tell him I want to do another swap this soon. Cheesy  I didn't promise no more swaps..I just promised no more swaps until after baby. Wink

EDIT: Oh, my...just read through the list of participants and fence-sitters.  This will be hard to miss if this kiddo stays put until after the 16th.  Send me some labour vibes, people!!!!

Itchyfingers, you are going to post pics of the baby as soon as she is born aren't you?  I can't wait to see her!

Yep, I will. Cheesy  But I don't actually know what I'm having...so it could be a "he". Wink
