1  A pair of jeans into a skirt? -That's- original. in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Kiffer Fadybugs on: April 05, 2009 08:41:00 PM

So this was my first sewing... thing. I had some jeans that were two sizes too big and I didn't like the wash of. (I prefer dark wash jeans.) So I took in the waistband to fit me better and then turned it into a skirt by hacking off the legs, then using material from the legs to make a flounce hem. Oh. And then I found this robot image on UrbanThreads and hand embroidered it on. I think. I just printed the image and then tried to sew the image onto the skirt like it looked on the piece of paper.

Here's a close-up of the robot.

And this one's blurry, but I think it looks nifty.
