1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / spectacles themed decoupage box~ on: July 27, 2010 11:02:47 AM
I made this box recently, and now I'm addicted. o.o
I scour thrift stores for awesome picturebooks, and hoard paper like there is no tomorrow.
But its all worth it to make boxes like this. (:
This one is already wizzing its way to my sister as a birthday gift, and I'm a little sad to let it go.

Thanks for looking~

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: Nichi Mini Boy Pattern...has anyone made one?? on: February 23, 2010 09:23:46 PM
I haven't made one, but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents worth about the looks of the finished product. Cheesy

It looks pretty similer to poppet in general construction, except this doll does not look like he's jointed at the sholders and hips.
I'm thinking it might have an inner skeleton to help with posing, and the elbows and knees look like they are jointed with wooden beads.
I would say this pattern looks pretty easy. I have had a load of experence with doll patterns though.

Please show us the finished product if you ever make it!
It looks to be really fun. Grin Good luck!

10  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Evil doers beware... (5 Pics) on: July 19, 2009 07:12:53 PM

Hiiiiyaaaa~! Meet the sneakiest squid that ever lived!

With his throwing stars he defeats his opponents, so beware!

And his katana invokes fear in the mighty denizens of the deep.

But have no fear, Ninja Squid is not all fight.
He wished to include a photo of him without his weapons, to let everyone know he always loves a good cuddle with his fans. Kiss

But to not be mislead by his sweet exterior, for underneath is a calculating squid of steel,

Made of some random yarn I found, with no pattern. (I love making things up as I go on! Cheesy)
