Thanks a lot Smiley Your dress is really beautiful... I am using a pink jersey for the dress, so it will figure-hug a bit more. I bought about 100m of ribbon, but I don't think it will be enough by the looks of it. I am going to put straps on my version of the dress - using lots of ribbons so they will fall off my shoulders... if that makese sense... just so I can wear a bra with it. Working at a craft store does me good Tongue

Okay so I am making one of these right now, in pink and cream... but a quick question. Did you use a stretch or what for the dress part?

What I did for my aunt and uncle is got some plain shot glasses - just clear ones, no pattern or anything, and for some white glass paints and some black glass paints and painted the "piece types" (like, painted a horse, a pawn, etc) on them, and set them up on a board i made.
so basically, you fill them up with alchohol - say something white/clear like tequila and something black like black zambuca - and when someone takes over a piece, they drink the contents of that shot glass.
I think they'll really like it. I don't know if your dad is into that kind of thing though. Just a suggestion.
