11  first post - and first real bag attempt in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by LDesjardin on: April 02, 2009 11:17:00 AM
I've been lurking for sometime and admiring all the beautiful bags. I finally got inspired to make one for myself. It isn't my first bag, but it is the first that came out looking like I wanted. I used this tutorial, which I found here, but changed up the dimensions. I made it wider so that I could easily fit my DSLR in it and reduced the height as well. If I had it to do over, I would lengthen the flap (I didn't take into account the fact that I'd widened the gusset) and make the zipper flaps narrow (I might still rip out the zipper and narrow the flaps but it isn't really a problem at this point.) Oh and I skipped the zipped pocket in the lining - that still frightens me -  LOL. Overall, I'm really proud of myself. Grin Now I want to make more!! Also planning a small wallet to coordinate.
