1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Fuzzy Purse and wallet on: April 05, 2009 10:43:51 AM

This is my fave bag right now.  I made this in two pieces.  For the body, I used one strand of redheart super saver, buff, and one strand lionbrand fun fur, ivory, H hook.  I started at the top front (where the button is attached) and chained enough for the width I wanted.  Just a simple sc, kept the tendion tight to add firmness, to the length desired, then started with decreases to form the flap.  The buttonhole is just chained across skipped stiches.  The gusset/strap is dc in two strands of super saver, buff and chocolate.  I  formed the body around the ends of the strap to form the gusset and trimmed together with both strands of super saver using sc stitch, adding extra stitches to reinforce the corners.  The I just trimmed the opening the same way.

The matching wallet is just a simple envelope in the chocolate color using sc stitch and decreases for flap.  The sides are stitched together with a couple of rounds using the fun fur.  The buttons are also crocheted.

Everyone loves my fuzzy bag.  It's so touchable and soft.
The other day my family was in a restaurant and I had the bag next to me in the booth.  The waitress kept looking at it funny and then started laughing.  She said she thought I had brought a dog in with me!
