So I'm pretty much a novice sewer and not quite farmiliar enough with the machine yet...even though I enjoy it quite alot I'm not as good as I'd like to be!! But I'm getting better, and having a blast in the meantime!!
I decided to make my daughter a few lil' outfits- reconstructed out of other clothing peices!!
the first is a reconstrust I saw here also and just HAD to make my DD one!
the tute can be found here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=170402.0
So I went to the thrift store down the street and pick up a boys shirt that I thought would make a cue dress and heres what I came up with (That's my lil' cutie modelling it for us- althoug hard to get a good pic of since she just wanted to play- we also got professional "family" photos done of her in the dress also! because I just loved it soo much!!)
and just for fun!!:
The second is from an old shirt of the Dh's that he never worn...so I decided to make a lil' dress out of it... inspriation from this tute here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=300236.0
...although I altered it quite a bit...because I had made the neckline and sleeves but apparently my daughter has a much bigger head than I expected so i altered it and added some ribbon to make it a Halter style dress instead... it's for playing outside in mostly since it's far from perfect... but I think it's cute none the less!
the bottom isn't uneven like that either - I think it was just the way it was laying when I took the photo!
