11  UNITED STATES / Mississippi / Northeast Mississippi craftsters on: November 12, 2005 08:38:09 PM
Hi,
I was wondering how many of you guys were out there.  I would love to start some kind of club of something to meet up with people in my area who knit, crochet whatever.  No one I know does much in the way of crafting.

12  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / duck baby hat pattern? on: November 12, 2005 08:33:32 PM
Hello everyone,
I hate to start a new topic, really I do, but I've called myself looking through my resources and well, I haven't come up with what I wanted yet.  What I want is a baby hat that will look like a duck, or a duck hat....get it?  What will be fine even is a baby hat with a brim which is sort of what I'm looking for anyway.  I was talking to my best friend today and instead of making her something she would love for me to make her baby (5 months old) a hat because she worries about his ears.  We picked out the yarn and I think I can figure out what I want to do but I was wondering if anyone had a pattern or knew or where to find a pattern already done up instead of me trying to design it myself because I don't trust myself enough to do it.  The yarn is Lion Brand microspun.  It's really soft and sort of like BrownSheep Cotton fleece but not.  So any suggestions would be stupendous.  I hope I make sense too....it's been a long day.   Undecided

13  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / knitting a VERY large circumference on: November 01, 2005 07:19:18 PM
Okay, I've looked through my books, did a search on Dogpile.com, on craftster, and read the knitting FAQ's and I haven't found this and I"m not really sure how to word what I am needing help with....So here goes: I am knitting a very very large circumference in the round and I am running out of room on the longest length of circulars I could find (or I think they make 36") so my question is what do I do now?  Can you knit in the round with two circulars or is it a big hassle, or is it like using dpns?
Thanks

Ha. That is a great pattern.   I haven't had a chance to read the latest Knitty.  I think that pattern might be a great one to do after I finish all the things on my list.   I still have patterns for Christmas to finish.

17  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Zig Zag on: December 11, 2004 04:55:24 PM
Hey
I have done numerous internet searches for a zig-zag motif pattern.  I have been asked to make a hat with a zig zag such as the one on Charlie Brown's shirt.  I had found a headband pattern at one time with a similar motif that I could modify for a hate but I've lost it now.  Any help would be appreciated.
