1  Re: Ancient Cultures Swap 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Rainbowendings on: July 13, 2011 08:16:52 PM
I received today! I only got in 3 photos before my camera batteries died, but I got everything at least once Cheesy. If you have better ones Manic, go right ahead and post them. I was shocked to see the huge box it came in, but I'm so thrilled the painting is in 1 piece. I love it SO much!!!! Also, the necklace, is beautiful. How did you do that? And the earrings are adorable, I have to fix one of them as the wire/metal ended up breaking a little and will go in (but not come out of my ear). And this book, thank you for giving me something to read! I have misplaced my nook and I've been going crazy. Cheesy I need something fun to read in my teaching class! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Ignore my mess, but I can't wait to read this book. It's about a female viking who found the "new world" Smiley

Sailing along the Fjord, drinking my Mead..... love this painting!!!!! AMAZING!!

Really bad photo, is bad. But I love these. So amazing. Cheesy

Thank you SO much Manic!

2  Queen themed swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by Rainbowendings on: July 10, 2011 01:21:35 PM

I've been contemplating organizing a Queen themed swap.

I'm thinking sign ups will start mid - late august, and send outs will be in September. I can tweak this time to a later date if it works better for people also, I'm just slammed until the end of August and wouldn't be able to focus and organize everything until Late August / All of September. Send outs may be 3 - 4 weeks into September, depending on when it starts.

Of course, this would be open to anyone and everyone who wants to swap, all countries.

What we could craft:
Swap Partner's favorite: Song, Album, Lyric, Music Video, Movie a song was featured in, Band Member, etc.

Craft Point Range:
I'm thinking a 6 Point Swap.
This could of course be:
Large= 3 points
Medium=2 points
Small=1 point

Large + Large
Small + Medium + Large
Small + Small + Medium + Medium
Medium + Medium + Medium
Large + Small + Small + Small

I would have to suggest though: No 6 Points made up of ALL smalls. Try to mix it up. Feel free to spoil. & If you want to do 2 Larges, by all means go ahead? Hows this sound? Thoughts? Opinions? Comments?

Ideas and Brainstorms:
More Earrings
Deck of Cards
More Embroidery

More Ideas? Feel free to post here to help those deciding! Smiley

And of course, would there be any takers for a co-organizer JUST in case it goes over 25 people? If it doesn't go over 25, of course then I won't need one.

How's this sound? Good? Bad? Got some comments? suggestions? questions? Etc?
I'd really love to do this swap, and I personally think it would be a blast for my first organized swap. Smiley

I hope you guys do too!!!

3  Cernunnos in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Rainbowendings on: July 09, 2011 11:24:38 PM
So, since my partner finally received today, I decided I'd post here my woodcarving. Note, this is my VERY first wood carving, before this I had never even touched a wood carving tool. I love it. I was actually sad to see it go, but it's in a good home now. Smiley It's of Cernunnos, the celtic Horned God. Enjoy. Smiley

This before I sealed it with beeswax, but I love it!

Comments and suggestions welcome Cheesy

I got my lovely package from the AMAZING MissCrafty29! AND OMG I WAS SPOILED!!! I am going to totally blow my diet (and my moms and sisters) but talk about WORTH IT!!! Cheesy! And my sister and I have already begun eating the ketchup chips. I'm in heaven. Now, ON TO PHOTOS!

Everything (After I took everything out, and tried to put it back in the box... minus the ketchup chips)

Chocolate: Aero bars, Mint Aero bars (YUUUUM), Flake Chocolate, Coffee Crisp, Twister (Think: Cadbury egg in a candy bar. WOW), Dark chocolate (70%) Kit Kats, Another Aero, Big Turk, Smarties, Crunchies. (Yeah. AMAZING.)

Maple & Local Goodies:
Maple Cookies, Maple Lolly Pop, Maple Candies, Maple Sugar Candies, Sugar Candies

Salty Crunchy Goodies! : Ketchup Potato Chips (Oh. My. Goodness.), and All Dressed Potato Chips. I saddly cannot eat the All Dressed chips as they have Rice flour and I'm allergic to rice, but I may have 1 chip and then give the rest to mom or boyfriend. Smiley The Ketchup chips are SO good.

Sweet & Delicious:
Apple Butter (This... so good!) and Cinnimon Spread (I am going to use this all the time. SO GOOD!!!!)

Gummy and Odd: Gummy Fruit w/ Yogurt, Gummy Worms (SOUR)!!, Wine Flavored Gummies (So cool), Rockets, and this odd.. gum... that says it tastes like soap... T_T I tried it, it isn't terrible xD! Kinda like lavender.

Homemade: Lunch bags. Can't wait to use this at my university Cheesy!

Tourist: Fun stuff! Cheesy I love the key chain, and her town looks amazing. I wanna visit Tongue! I love the stickers by the way. Cheesy And those pencils will help me out in my university Cheesy!

These Ketchup Chips, are amazing. >.> So I have to share again.
