1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Drawings from Design 1 - pic heavy on: March 14, 2010 10:17:01 AM
Thank guys! Yeah I went into design with no idea, and I think I got a lot of good out of it, plus some great pieces for my portfolio.

My best friend and I went to Paris in 2007, and this is drawn and painted from a snapshot of the street we stayed on.

Here are a couple experiments from my design class that i just finished (believe it of not, my first art class ever, but i was mostly self taught before that)
a test before I did my final, which I did it stipling, which is wayyy nicer looking than my crosshatching, but I don't have a picture of it yet.

My Grandma gave me a boatload of vintage fabrics from the 70's/80's (so some of them are garish, and unwearable..)

But I am in an art class and decided that instead of digging through my pencil bag trying to find stuff, I would make a pencil roll.

This is lovely!

in the first picture i thought it was a weird fiber craft, but lo and behold, it is mostly foods! I cannot imagine the patience required to do this, everything looks so perfectly planned, and I know I would have been smudging the beans, rise, wheat etc into each other

Love it! I agree, i hate water levels, not the under water ones as much as the stupid rising waves though!

I really like this, it is definitely something I can see on a wall.

I totally hear you on the getting impatient. It's like Christmas, logging in to see what the crafsters think of a new post, it can be disappointing to not have any.

I think you'll get a great grade.

I love these! I bet magazine pages would work for smaller ones too!

Squee! One more quirky, up-cycled, holiday item!
