I just got a box of skeleton keys and love the new necklaces people are making with them so I thought I would try some. I chose a different theme for each of them. Here's the two I have finished. Comments and critiques welcome!! Thanks!
I initially bought this small brooch to make into a necklace but my stepdaughter was like "oh no that has to be a ring!" so I made this instead. Now she wants to keep it!
When I was in the bridal shop finding a wedding dress I ran across these big, sparkly cocktail rings and knew I had to try to make one! Here's my first attempt. I used an old brooch that was falling apart and restrung and shaped it on wire and then hot glued it to the ring band. I think it turned out okay. Any suggestions?
Thanks trickygirlb for the fried marble idea! I actually had some free time the other day so I made a few with some old marbles I had in the craft room. I love how they turned out!
I love the whole upcycling movement that's going on in jewelry! Here's some items that I've come up with. One's made from a souvenir spoon, another from a brooch, a purse clip, etc.... Thanks for looking!
I usually stick to making necklaces and earrings but was told last week I needed to make more bracelets so this is my new one I came up with yesterday. I have been seeing a lot of ribbon on necklaces lately so I wanted to incorporate some ribbon somehow.
Here's some pieces I made last night while my sweetie was working. I've been playing with wire for awhile now but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it finally. I also posted some spoon pendents on the reconstructed board if anyone is interested in seeing them.
I just love all the great spoon pendants on here so when I found some cute spoons at a garage sale I was so excited! The ones I tried with resin didn't turn out they were too cloudy. Here's the ones that I just cut, bent, and buffed. The second one is a spoon handle that I really liked.
