41  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Stuff an Envelope Swap (INTERNATIONAL) rd 2 - GALLERY on: August 06, 2012 11:38:30 AM

Summer and I are both big Doctor Who fans, so naturally she crafted something DW.
I want to start making some ATCs and these are my first ones I received.  Can you believe they are her first too?  They are FANTASTIC! (My picture not so much, so if you have a better one Summer, please post it.  They really are great.)

They are the perfect beginning to my ATC collection.

I'm glad you liked the ATCs!  Since I'd never done any before, I was happy when I found out you liked Doctor Who - what better way to try a new craft than with a DW motif?   Wink

Here is the pic I took before I sent it off:

This is my fave!  It took forever to paint all the pinstripes on, but I was really happy with how they came out  Smiley

Here's my second fave:

I loved creating these for you, thank you Jenn90000 for being such a great partner!   Cheesy

I received from Pupper Smiley.

She sent various papercrafting supplies (my favorite is the book plate):

She made me a bracelet based on an item in my wists.  I love the bird and the stars that she put on it!

Thank you Pupper!

Just got back from the post office myself.  Envelopes were a little to fat, so I had to send them as a 'small package', but I don't mind.  I was expecting that anyway.  We are only allowed to send an envelope that is less than 100 grams and less than 2 cms fat for regular lettermail..yeah right...like I can stay in those parameters.

Excited to receive.  Might get one next week, the other likely the week after.  International shipping can be sooooo... what is the word...irritating?  I don't have the patience.  I am an instant gratification type of person sometimes.

I'm not entirely sure how wide 2 cms is, but I do know it's not much.  It would be tough to meet that regulation!  I agree that waiting for the mail can be frustrating!  I tend to check the mailbox at least three times a day when I'm waiting for something good Smiley.

I sent today also - managed to squeak under the 13 oz. restriction but the envelope to England cost me more than $8.00. But that's half what it would cost if I had to use the small Priority box. The one to I sent with in the US was just under $4.

And sending out 10 puzzle pieces packages and my 4 x 6 art to Europe, I spent over $40. today at the P.O.

Yikes - no more "5 swaps at a time" swapping!!

LOL, I thought that I spent a lot at the post office to mail my three envelopes, now I see that I got off lucky Wink.

^ I've had a few expensive trips to the post office - I think 35 was the most I've paid for one parcel: but TOTALLY worth it Smiley

Sorry I've been quiet this time round - struggling with health issues atm so life getting in the way of crafting again Sad

Mini_mum, I hope all the health issues are resolved quickly!  Thank you so much for organizing this swap!

I'm standing in line at the post office right now to mail my envelopes, yay!!

I've received from Pupper!  I will post pics as soon as I get my envelopes off.  I have one stuffed and sealed and two more to go.  I am basically just trying to stuff as much as possible in the envelopes without them exploding.  I should have everything mailed off by today!

I received a VERY stuffed envelope from nostephot!

She included a ton of paper supplies (I was really excited to see the 'Once Upon a Time' papers, I've wanted this paper for a long time)!

She made me a zipper bag!  I've been wanting one forever and I love the patterns on this!  The picture shows the front and back -

Look at the interior of the bag - I love it!!

Thank you so much nostephot!!

I finished beautifying my envelopes.  Lol, I've probably spent half my time so far just working on making the envelopes nice looking.  I hope my partners like them!

I have to finish my last craft and after hours of internet research, I think I finally have what I need to finish it up!

I RECEIVED!!! Wow, nostephot sure knows how to stuff an envelope!  She packed so much good stuff in it, that it was impossible to get it back in the envelope to move from one room to the next  Shocked.  Thank you so much Candace!!!

As for me, I have completed 2/3 crafts.  The third one is going to be a little trickier as it's something I've never done before...  My goal is to craft first and stuff after, but now that I have two crafts complete, I might start stuffing those envelopes soon  Smiley.

Also, I will post pics once the gallery is up.

I really, really want to get started on this swap.  I have craft ideas swimming in my mind, begging to be let free.  But, I made a deal with myself that I cannot start until I finish redecorating the bathroom (all I have left to do is put up the new shower curtain, towels, soap dispenser, and rug!) and clean up the entire house.  Bleh, I'd much rather dive into crafting, but once I get started I REALLY won't want to clean up, so better to do it before.  Undecided

Yippee, I finished and sent in the questionnaire!  I've been thinking about this swap for days trying to come up with various ideas.  I spent a good part of yesterday researching the correct envelope size and ended up ordering a few samples from an envelope company online.  I can't wait to get started!
