What a bittersweet post...I received my last bookmark!  Pincushion_Queen took two of my favorites - "Jane Eyre" and text - and combined them!  I'm not exactly sure how she managed to laminate just the individual letters, but I love it!  Thank you Pincushion_Queen!!

I received a wonderful package from Karwash!  I picked it up at the post office then stopped by the gas station.  I was so excited I couldn't wait...so I tore into it at the gas station.  LOL, I was grinning ear to ear  .

She made me this great hat that will keep me warm (I hate being cold!)  She included this fabric that used to be her great grandmother's, I'm going to figure out something special to use it for.  She also included some sea salt and caramel chocolates!


I love, love, LOVE Doctor Who.  She made me these Peanuts inspired Doctor Who shoes, they have the Doctor, Amy, and Rory on them!  Karwash, you did a great job on these, I love them!






Everything was packed in this beautiful box.  This is the exact kind of box I would pin on pinterest.  I don't think I mentioned it on my questionnaire, but I'm in love with boxes.  Plus, I really like trees - my favorite thing is the heart with my husband's and my initials!  To top it all off, she created my favorite effect (the use of text) for the box interior...just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I looked closer and saw that she used one of my favorite books (Pride and Prejudice) for the text!

I had written that I like steampunk and Gozer did the most ingenious thing, she combined steampunk with pinup!  It's something I never would have thought of and I absolutely love the result!

There are so many good Doctor Who things!  This has been such a fun swap, I can't wait for the next one!

I received an amazing package from Rene24601!!  

I put these earrings on as soon as I'd opened everything.  I'm not a fan of large pieces of jewelry (unless, of course, we're talking diamonds  ) and these are the perfect size, I absolutely LOVE them!


I opened the larger part of the package, and what should I find...?  A TARDIS photo cube, complete with both my favorite doctor and his favorite companion!  She even made me a "stolen earth," based on the title of my favorite two-parter episode!!


She put so much care and attention to detail into this.  The doctor is holding his sonic screwdriver and Rose's hair is very well painted, with highlights and everything and you can easily tell that Rose has a hoodie on (the picture doesn't do it justice)!


I love it all so much!!  I even took Rose and the Doctor on an outing shortly after arriving, lol.


I am so happy with what I received!!

My mom is a preschool teacher.  She's at a new site this year and has spent the past week getting it ready for the upcoming schoolyear.  We transformed her office from drab to fab, and now all she's missing is some wall art.  I saw this online and figured it will work well in a preschool office.  Turns out it was the perfect time of year for this project as I was able to get packs of 24 crayons for $0.25 each at a back to school sale!  The canvas was only $8.00, so the overall project cost was less than $10.00.


The complete finished product!


There are 71 crayons overall (most colors were used 3 times and a few were used 4 times).


Turns out it's important to pay attention to the distance you hold the heat gun from the crayons.  When it was too close, it would cause the crayons to spray on both the canvas and the desk drawer I had it leaned against.


All melted with a few crayon puddles gathered at the bottom.

haroldlovemaude, I'm glad you liked the package I sent you!!  I spent a lot of time figuring out how I was going to do the large.  I'd originally planned on stenciling all the words, but that plan ended up not working out.  Finally I decided on cutting all the words out of fabric and gluing them to the painting. 




Now, on to the MAIN EVENT!!  The secret swap package that I received...all the way from Australia!  My number one requested item was wall art.  My amazing stalker provided me with just what I asked for and I cannot wait to get it all up!

I mentioned that I really like the use of the printed word in art.  She combined my love for that and the look of tree branches and came up with this really pretty altered page:


On my wist I had a lot of birds and tree branch items.  She used those to make me this neat three piece art set:

I mentioned that my living room is painted blue and she did a really good job of coordinating the paintings with this color!!

Last but not least is my favorite piece, inspired by my wist (my partner is really good at drawing!!)!  She used book page butterflies to perfect this beauty and I absolutely love it!

Unfortunately, the weight of the other canvases during shipping caused the canvas on this one to rip.  I'm trying to figure out how I'll fix it.  Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Who is this talented artist?  She is Australia's own NatACT!  I hadn't guessed her, but she was still on my list of possibilities.  Thank you so much for all this beautiful art Nat!!
