1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / bee candle box on: February 11, 2011 11:40:05 AM
i want to make a box for some bees wax candles. i definatlly plan to decorate the lid. ive been looking forward to thios project... even made the candles myself Smiley now im at the super fun part... decorating, but i feel stumped!! does anyone have any inspiring ideas? so far im at vintage style text with vintage style bee print. OR a more a more rustic ethnic approach having a more styalized bee/ hive/subject and some funky ethnic style text. (im not even sure if a bee is suitable as im not boxing bees! but its all that pops into my mind!). i have chosen the box to be of recycled cardboard , and want to print with black/ choco brown...

i feel like a dont have a solid feeling in this project, and would appreciate any suggestions so i can gather my thoughts and bring this creative project to life! Smiley  Smiley
2  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Muhu island inspired slippers on: March 14, 2010 09:27:17 AM
Made some slipper for my grandmother-in-law. she turned 71.
my favourite aspect about them is that the black is from a black sheep, from the sheep down the road.
the fibres felted together better than any dyed wool ive ever used (synthetic/natural dyed). it was very enjoyable... and fast!
the design on the slippers isnt original- i took inspiration from local traditional slippers- i thought she might like that
(search muhu slippers)

she loved them , and i hope you enjoy them too! Smiley

3  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / felt 'painting' on: December 29, 2009 06:41:46 AM
heres a nice big piece of felt, that has a colourful detail on it.
i really love it, it took ages and ages, and its finally ready. it was supposed to be a big pillow, but i love it just as a wall hanging

i would like to try sell this piece, but im not sure how to price it, as ive never sold any felt piece like this before (*usually i sell hats). any advice on a price would be very appreciated!
