1  rubber duck soap and sugar scrubs in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by snowbird49908 on: April 18, 2010 05:33:59 PM
first off we have some rubber ducky soap I made useing bakery container as a mold (I think cupcakes came in this)

I put light green/yellow ish for the bottom and a darker color for the top

Next we have some sugar scrubs I made after loving all the ones I seen on here. I normally just make loose sugar scrub with brown sugar and honey and a little vitamin e and put it in a mason jar but I made this from regular sugar and some vitamin e and some coloring and a little melt and pour to hold it solid and put it in a heart candy mold. They smell like orchid! I think these will be MUCH easier to use than digging a handfull out of a jar.
Tell me what ya think. Smiley

2  mini body pouf soaps in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by snowbird49908 on: March 29, 2010 06:26:38 PM
these are little mini body poufs I made in soap because my daughter LOVES bath poufs so I bought a container of poufs from dollar tree that have 5 in them for $1 and are about 1/4 the size of a normal pouf. I put them in little plastic cups and pour soap on them..I left them clear and scented them with berry scent. I poured the soap up so that all but a bit of the pouf is buried in the soap. Simple but she loves them! There is only about 1.5 ounces of soap in each one so they are pretty small.

I got a travel brochure in the mail the other day that had all sorts of pretty beaches to visit...I looked out the window and grumbled about all the snow out there and looked right back at the brochure. so I made a page about it to take my mind off of winter. While I was working on the page the song came on the radio "...i wanna take you to bermuda bahama come one pretty mamma...we'll get there fast and they well take it slow.." so thats why I added that little bit to the page..though it was fitting. Then on the left page there is the clipping from the brochure thats probably to small to read that says "sun kissed beaches"

Phizzy...I love the little tag you have on the ant one and the second one reminds me of a stormy sea at night time.

Okay I found the camera again and here are my two. One is a smoking one because I quit smoking for my new years resolution..the green part, I dont know if you can read it or not but it has statistics about smoking. I also burnt some little burn marks in there with a lighter. the bottom part in blue says breath in the fresh air. Kinda looks like a kid did it but it made me feel better anyway.and the second one kinda goes with new years as well because I was thinking how fast last year went by and how I would like to pause everything for awhile. It says "I try to turn  back time"

this was my first time trying to do the paint swirl thing in glass bulbs. It turned out to be easy and fun so the kids got in on it.

7  Kids Soaps in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by snowbird49908 on: November 15, 2009 11:25:22 PM
I tried my hand at making some kids soaps..here are a couple I made.
Let me know what your honest opinion on them is because I intend on using them as stocking stuffers and need to know if they are gift giving worthy.

The popsicle is chocolate raspberry. I didnt have any chocolate scents or brown coloring sence Im new to this whole soap thing pretty much so I used some hot chocolate to scent and color the chocolate half of them.

I made a bunch of these little toy embedded soaps and made them in all sorts of colors some with frogs and crocodiles and what not but I thought I would share this one because it was one of the ones I added no color to so it was easier to take a pic of.
For molds with the kids toy soap ones I used an empty cupcake liner container. It worked out pretty good and the little soaps have "legs" from the bumps on the bottom of the container. totally unplanned but when I watched my kid use one it worked awesome because when he set it at the edge of the tub it didnt slide of because of the bumps on the bottom..okay enough jibber jabber Tongue

9  what if anything can be done with this? lg wire spool in What the heck can I do with THIS? by snowbird49908 on: November 08, 2009 10:46:57 PM
My dad owns a welding shop so I have tons of these copper spools that welding wire comes on at my disposal. Every time someone has something they dump it off with me suspecting I will find some sort of crafty use for it. this time I am stumped if this can be turned into anything. So, with that being said..bestow upon me all of your great crafty creativity..
Here be the dreaded spool of craft recycling block:
(it has a 12 inch radious if that helps any and its about 6 inches thick)

10  First try at loofah soap in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by snowbird49908 on: November 03, 2009 07:04:07 PM
This is my first attempt at making loofah soap and I think it looks pretty cool. they smell like cucumber melon..I think they look kinda like cucumber slices.
I used the press and seal method instead of the one where you use PVC pipe and it worked pretty good. I left its original wrapper on and wrapped press and seal around it to make sure no leaks go out. After it hardened I cut it then layed the slices out and topped them off with a bit more soap to make sure the centers got filled all the way.
